Hear Ye! Hear Ye!…and a Peek at my Favorite Thing in the Catalog

You’ve already seen the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog, right?  If not, here it is (I’ll wait for you to take a pass through it and soak it all in):
2013-2014 Catalog

I believe you when you say that you have carefully studied the pages and found the things you love.  How is it that I’m so trusting?  It’s because I have had the book for over a month, and I still find something new at every pass.  Next week, I’ll share a few of my Favorite Things from the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog (the list is so formal that it requires all CAPS), but today I want to share a couple of really great promotions that Stampin’ Up! recently announced – perfect timing to make some last minute additions to your order.  🙂  I’m also going to share a little bit about the item that tops my Favorite Things list.

Grab Your Greetings

This promotion couldn’t be nearer to my heart.  Almost every card requires a sentiment, right?  I don’t have Sassy Salutations, but you can find Sweet Essentials and Petite Pairs on lots of my cards.  They are necessary.  What better time for Stampin’ Up! to offer these sets at 25% off?  Here’s the information you need to add these sets to your order:Grab your Greetings

More Amazing Greetings

While we are talking about greetings, Stampin’ Up! has been rolling out some great compilation stamp sets each month in honor of its 25th year – and this month’s is Best of Greetings.  Yippee!  Click on the image below for more information – you can bet I won’t pass on this set:

New Photopolymer Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! has been introducing lots of great, new photopolymer stamp sets.  This one is perfectly suited for this time of year, a travel-themed set with lots of great images.  Check it out by clicking the image below – and then be sure to add it to your order:  🙂

My Favorite Things

I’ve spent many nights narrowing down my list of Favorite Things and will be sharing it with you next week.  In the meantime, I’m giving you a sneak peek at my #1 thing.  This product is a game changer – mine has already been ordered, and I might wait on the front porch until it arrives.  Headed there now…

1.  Big Shot Magnetic Platform (130658) – Did you spot this gem hidden on page 184 of the Annual Catalog?  If not, take a look now.  This is going to change our Fraemlit and Edgelit experience FOOORRREEEVEEERR!

And here’s a Stampin’ Up! video that shows how absolutely amazing this product is:

One thing to note:  The magnetism from the Megnetic Platform is strongest when the cutting pads are straight.  If your cutting plates are well-used and bent, you may want to throw in a new set of cutting pads.  You’re welcome.

Does it kind of take away the excitement of a “countdown list” to reveal the #1 item first?  If so, then I’m sorry I’ve ruined the whole countdown for you.  I promise you the rest of the list will be just as exciting.  What are your favorite things about the new Annual Catalog?  What have you already ordered – or what is on your “must have” list?

  1. This is such a fun time to me ! I love the pop and crackle in the air when a new catty is released . Of course this is the biggie so it`s like Christmas (sort of) . Who remembers the Sears Wish Book for Christmas ? My daughters always loved that time of the year when it would arrive in the mail .
Well, I have to agree with you Brian ….that Magnetic Platform is at the top of my list .I always keep an extra set of new plates on hand so thanks for the tip . Really wondering what else you like ??

  2. I love reading your blog! THis new “Best of set” is my favorite! I love the sentiments. Can’t wait to order it! Looking forward to your list of favorite things.

  3. Me, too! The Magnetic Platform is the bomb! And so timely because all the new dies to go with the new stamp sets are also very cool. Love the new catalog!

  4. Of course!!! The magnetic platform was 1 of the first things I ordered…..but…..I didn’t see a llnk, where you said, “And here’s a Stampin’ Up! video that shows how absolutely amazing this product is:”. Tried clicking everywhere, but to no avail. Where is it hiding???

    • Pam – It’s there now. Thanks for the heads-up. I woke up in the middle of the night to add the link to the “Best Of” set and must have messed things up a bit. Thanks for the heads-up.

  5. Cindie McDuffee

    Forever….and ever! Hallelujah!
It was the first product on my order, too.
How will we ever contain ourselves til the new goodies arrive? Oh wait….maybe I will go stamp….
Can’t wait to see the rest of your top ten, Brian!

  6. Question Brian – will all the new SU dies be magnetic or will they continue to offer non magnetic dies or will they do like they now do with a lot of stamp sets (wood or clear) and offer dies both magnetic and non? I’m hoping they come out with a lot more of the photopolymer stamps as I just love them.

    • Grace, the magentic platform works with Framelits and Edgelits. As far as I know, there are no plans to stop using the other dies. We’ll essentially have two platforms – one will have an amazing magnetic pull. 🙂 Maybe the other one will just collect dust in the corner somewhere. It seems like we are seeing the photopolymers each month as of late. That’s cool!

      • I would like to see more complex photopolymer stamp sets. Larger images like their “regular sets”. So far each stamp has been quite small. I’ve worked with large photopolymer images and they’re great! I love the truly “CLEAR” stamps so I know exactly where I’m stamping….just can not get the hang of the SAMJ!!

  7. It’s #1 on my list too!!! I will be stalking the man in brown until mine gets here!!! Can’t wait to see your other 9 on the list!!!

  8. Ah, I know what your number 1 item is….but now I can’t wait to see what the runner-up is! –Terri O

  9. Looking forward to the other Top items from the catalog.
