Saying Good-Bye…and Saying Hello to Free Shipping

Today is a BIG DAY at Stampin’ Up!  In order to make room for all the wonderful and new items I’m sure Stampin’ Up! will be sharing with us in the 2014 Annual Catalog, a number of current items must be retired.  Stampin’ Up!’s Retired Items List was published at midnight (MT) so I am excited to share them with you.  All of the items on this list are available from April 21 through June 4 or while supplies last, so please take note and take action as soon as possible.

It’s easy to act now and order now because THIS WEEK (April 21-25), Stampin’ Up! is offering free shipping on all orders.  Woo hoo!  Stock up on retiring items before they are gone and pay no shipping.  Does it get any better than that?!

Here are some notable items retiring from this year’s catalog:

  • Delightful Dozen.  This amazing and frequent go-to has been around for a while.  Everything from Mother’s Day to Easter, from Christmas to Halloween.  This set’s got it all.
  • Create a Cupcake.  This adorable cupcake has become a got-to for a quick and fun birthday.  Who doesn’t love a cute cupcake?  Interesting, though, that the Cupcake Builder punch is not retiring – looks like we might be getting another cute cupcake set?
  • Lattice Bigz Die.  This is a classic.  It’s one of those dies that people have stayed on the fence about – and several have recently ordered.  This might be your last chance.
  • En Francais.  Who doesn’t love this gorgeous background stamp?  French is the language of love.  That says it all.
  • Sponge Daubers.  I don’t know if there’s some sort of replacement coming behind them, but I never thought I’d see the day that Sponge Daubers aren’t offered as a part of Stampin’ Up!’s incredible product lineup.
  • 2014-2016 Ruffles Stretch Ribbon.  I assumed this past year’s ribbon was safe on this year’s retired list.  Seems reasonable, right?  Well, the stretch ribbon we’ve grown to love is going away (a year early).  I don’t know if we’ll have a new style of ribbon or no ribbon at all for these In Colors, but I do know it’s going away.
  • Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die.  This handy set of typeset letters has been a favorite of mine, and I will be sad to see it go.  You need them, too.

Did anything on the list surprise you?  What will you miss the most?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian

  1. I was surprised by the Coordinations paper going, and the sanding block along with it! Also, the wheels seem to be going entirely!

    • I saw those, too. I have really grown to love the Core’dinations. Don’t really use the wheels very much (or sell very many of them), so I’m OK with that one. 🙂

  2. Sponge Daubers ! Surprised me the most I think . Square Lattice EF is another surprise…it`s kinda the “White bread “of the EF ! Love the free shipping and love the demonstrator discount ! My order is already locked and loaded !
    Happy Monday !

  3. Flower Shop and Secret Garden 🙁 also En Francais and Delightful Dozen as you said :'(

  4. I have a question… In the new catalogue, do sets from the old catalogue stay as they are if they are not being retired? I like “really good greetings” on page 38, but in the new catalogue, could it be altered or added to another set? Or does changing a set deem the old one “retired”? Not sure if I am clear… Have not had coffee yet!

    • Emma, I can only speak from experience, but my guess is that “Really Good Greetings” will carry over as-is. They don’t typically change sets.

  5. I see the free shipping. Are items discounted too?

  6. I was shocked to see the itty bitty shapes punch pack and the small heart punch on the list! I find these to be incredibly punches.

  7. Dazzling Diamonds glitter! It’s a staple for me and it’s the best on the market.

  8. Thanks Brian for posting the lists. Most surprising is En Francais background stamp. This stamp has been around since 2000, fourteen years, and is a favorite go to stamp. I appreciate all you share daily.

  9. …the sponge daubers…aack!

Brian, how can we live without them?

  10. The Simply Sketched sets are on the retiring list but there is no button to add to bag. Do you have to host a workshop to get that stamp set?

  11. Hi Brian:

Playing catch up today on all the missed posts. Thanks for posting the retiring information, I’ll try to go over that list tonight and make out an order if there is anything I can’t live without. Free shipping is a great idea! Question – if your order is over $150 do you still get hostess benefits AND free shipping?

Leaving again on the 4th so I’ll miss your posts every day again. One of these days I’ll get a laptop so I can keep up while I’m away!

  12. I was happy to see that the dsp from the color collections is not retiring! Sad to see the polka dot dsp retiring and hoping they will replace it with new color polka dots. Keeping my fingers crossed that new catalog will have lots of ribbon colors!!!

  13. So sad that the In Colour ribbons are retiring already. Also, that En Francais background stamp is a classic, and still so beautiful!

  14. When I click your link for retiring accessories, there is no asterisk next to the sponge daubers. I’m a Canadian demo, and when I log into the SU website to access the retiring accessories, there is an asterisk which notes that they will be reconfigured for the new catalog. I heard that was the case for the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter and the sponge daubers because of a new supplier.
