Spring One-for-One Swaps: Day Two

Woo hoo!  Today is the second day that I’m sharing a batch of cards from my Spring One-for-One Swaps.  What a gorgeous collection of cards!  I was so happy to receive these cards in the mail – and you are lucky that I actually mailed them back out (there was temptation to keep them all for myself).  🙂

Please look them over, admire their beauty and then let the creators know how beautiful their cards are (I already know you’ll be kind with your comments, but I am going to request it, anyway).  If you participated in the swap and don’t see the card you received here, please wait to comment on the card when it debuts here.  That way, your card creator will be sure to see your comments.

The collection of cards I’ll be sharing might not all have current Stampin’ Up! products (although that was requested), but every card gives good ideas for color combinations, layouts, techniques.  Without any further ado, here is the second batch of your beautiful cards:  By Mimi Colwell, stampwithbrian.com By Meredith Liebman, stampwithbrian.com By Meredith Liebman By Pat Stewart, stampwithbrian.com By Sonny Peterson, stampwithbrian.com By Kathie Durgan, stampwithbrian.com By Laura Laures, stampwithbrian.com By Windy Ellard, stampwithbrian.com By Cindie McDuffee, stampwithbrian.com By Liz Stillman, stampwithbrian.com By Susan Currey, stampwithbrian.com By Wanda Reynolds, stampwithbrian.com By Beverly Parkinson, stampwithbrian.com By Roberta Timmons, stampwithbrian.com By Beth Schuster,, stampwithbrian.com by Sheila Coffey, stampwithbrian.com

Now, please let these artists know how much you appreciate their cards.  Which ones stand out to you?  Did you receive one of these?  If so, please click on “comments” below and share your thoughts here.

More of these gorgeous cards to come as the week unfolds.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. What beauties are there on your page today, Brian! I understand fully why you was tempted to keep them for yourself :). There are so many great ideas and you guys are so great ! So many different ways to make flowers, decoration that goes over the cards edges, interesting sketches – I don´t know where to start ! Thank you for sharing these great ideas with us! Greetings, Anita from craftsfunwithanita.blogspot.de

  2. Another amazing group of swap cards! And so much Springtime creativity!
    Thank you, one and all!

  3. Great cards. Love something special about them all but that would take forever to post. This is so much fun. 🙂

  4. What a lot of talented people! I like all of them! My eye was drawn to the angled layer on Kathie Durgan’s card. I have not figured out how to get such a clean element in that style (it is the cutting on the non-perpendicular that has me flummoxed). Sonny Peterson’s use of Gingham Garden DSP caught my attention because it is my favorite paper this year. (Also, Sonny, I live not far from Matthews in NC when I’m in the U.S. Maybe we can meet sometime!) The garden fence with flowers and a butterfly by Roberta Timmons is so pretty! Beth Schuster’s triple layer stamping with masking is impressive! I like Sheila Coffey’s double-time stamping. I think it always gives an outstanding effect. All of the cards are really nice. Please don’t think I didn’t like your card if I didn’t mention it specifically. I like them all! Thanks, everyone, for sharing your talents in this swap!

  5. The cards are beautiful – thanks for sharing. So many good design ideas !

Oh, another fabulous group of Spring cards, all of them beautiful. I don’t see the cards I received here yet so maybe tomorrow? I do see my dear friend Sonny’s card, so colorful and happy, made with the Square Lattice embossing folder, one of my favorites, it adds so much texture to your CS. I also see a few cards with the Petite Petals bundle, I just can’t wait till mine gets here!! All of this cards are beautiful, lots of great ideas for layouts and color combinations. Thank you to all of you talented ladies and thank you Brian for hosting another awesome card swap. Looking forward to the next one. 😉

  13. Such beautiful springy cards! Thanks for sharing.

  14. These are great examples of talent and creativity ! I received Kathie Durgan`s card and it is a great one. I love the offset look and it is perfect in detail . Thanks Brian for sending me that one . Just look at all the Petite Petal flowers (love them) and I just got the Owl Punch (yes,I am the last person on Earth to get it ) so I think that owl on that flower stem is so cute that Meredith did . The thing I like about the swaps is it gives you ideas or maybe show cases a stamp or punch you would like to get . Now I have to get that cute Polka Dot Pieces stamp set ! Thank you ,Brian !

  15. Mimi (the first card) is a Stamping Peacer (my stamping group up here in Maine). Yay, Mimi!

  16. Beverly Parkison aka Lateblooming Designs

  20. Robbye Hamilton

And the beauty and inspiration continues. These are all gorgeous. Thanks Brian for sharing them

  21. I received Liz’s card, it is a gate fold card Liz did a great job sponging the Open Sea pieces on the front. What a fun card , Liz used my faves, Open Sea and Island Indigo, you can’t see the inside treatment, but take my word for it she did a bang up job. Thanks Liz I love it. Also want to comment on Laura’s card, her use of the Chevron strips as the hinges of the card makes for an interesting opening, love it my friend.

    • Thank you for the kind comments. It was a fun card to make. I’m glad you like it. Thank you Brian for hosting this swap. I will be looking forward to the next one.

  26. Hats off to everyone! I have a feeling a lot of casing in the future. Brian could you reveal how many cards you received? Just curious.

  27. I received Meredith’s owl card. I especially liked the striped chest on the owl. The blue chosen for the sky is a nice match to one of the stripes. Being a gardener and still waiting for spring here in Maine, I love the bleeding heart arching out of the multi-layered grass.
Thank you, Brian, for holding this swap – It was my first of , I hope, many more…

  28. Ruth Ann Vincent

I can see why you want to keep the cards.
Everyone has such a smart way of expressing their talent. So glad they didn’t have to be judged!

And your layout and color choice for the other card is so sweet. Pat – what a great idea for a flower pot! Sonny – great layout! Kathie, I love how you coloured the candles to match the DSP. A butterfly stamped on velum and layered over glimmer paper? Laura is brilliant! Windy, I love your layout and plan to CASE this sometime. Cindie – that is so cute!!! Liz, I love the masculine birthday card. Another CASE for sure! Susan, you have some great detailed touches on yours like the ruffle trim and the candy dot in the middle of the flower. I almost didn’t see it! Wanda – that butterfly really stands out! What a great color combo! Beverly, beautiful flowers. Isn’t that a wonderful sentiment? Roberta – A FENCE!!! Oh my goodness! I love love love that! Can’t wait to try it out myself! Love the clouds, too! Beth – great masking technique! I love how CAS this card is. Sheila – my first love in stamping was the triple time stamp, or layered stamping or whatever you call it. Your card looks so elegant. Fantastic!!
