Grateful for You

There’s never a bad time to let people know how grateful you are for them in your life.  I’m excited to share my Fall-themed project for today’s Blog Hop. Here’s my card:

For All Things, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Stamp-a-ma-Jig.  I pulled out my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to create a pattern of sentiments across the background of a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped “grateful for you” over and over in Crumb Cake, careful to inlay each sentiment with the other.  It took a little patience and time, but it wasn’t a difficult task.  If you’d like to review my Stamp-a-ma-Jig video, click here. For All Things, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Great Color Combination for Fall.  I love the oranges and yellows of Autumn, but the color combination I use today is a viable alternative.  Old Olive looks so regal when paired with these muted and neutral colors, don’t you think?  If you like this color combination, too, feel free to save this:Color Inspiration, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Building the Focal Point.  The Focal Point of this project is the leaf and Early Espresso sentiment.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso on the 1-3/4″ strip of Very Vanilla that extends across the card front.  On a scrap piece of the Very Vanilla, I stamped the leaf in Old Olive and then stamped the sentiment over it.  I cropped the leaf and the glued it down, placing it exactly over the words on the Very Vanilla band.

  2. I love this! I would say I am speechless but I don’t want you to make fun of me so I won’t!! I will say that I think my arm fell off just thinking about all that stamping!! Oh who am I kidding…I would just reattach my arm and keep stamping! Beautiful project!

  3. This example of stampin’ patience fills me with awe, jealous rage, and wicked envy.

    (Still love you anyway, Brian)

  5. I think you just convinced me to purchase a Stamp-a-ma-Jig! Such a beautiful card, Brian. Having fun on your blog hop this morning, especially since it’s thundering and lightning up here in Maine as I sit here enjoying all the Halloween (and Fall) projects. 🙂

  6. So pretty. You are braver than I tondo all that stamp a ma jigging. I thinking I tried that it would end up crooked. Well done Brian.

  7. Whew that’s a lot of stamping……beautifully done!

  8. This is such a beautiful card. I think it would be well received during any season as it makes a great masculine card. Super job Brian. BTW one day I’m giving you a ruler, like kids use in school, and you’re going to teach me the correct way to use my SAMJ.

  9. Incredible talent and patience! Love it.

  10. Good Morning Mr. King:

You did an absolutely fantastic job with the stamp-a-ma-jig making that background. Everything is so perfectly placed. The color combination this week is what I would describe as “soothing”. Just beautiful.

  11. One word…..FABULOUS!!!! repeated x 100+

  15. A pretty card and a lot of us would be grateful to receive it ! Nice colors

  16. LOVE the soft colors you used on your CAS card….not sure I have the patience to create the repeated ‘greeting’ but you are a master and not many others would be so creative!

  17. And I bet you were grateful for that SAMJ because it got you a gorgeous outcome! 🙂

  18. If the devil is in the details, Brian, I swear you grew little red horns over this one! Great project!

    Denise
