You Plus Me = Fun Sneak Peek

I’m all twitterpated to share today’s project – a fun sneak peek at a new bundle in the upcoming Occassions Catalog (starts January 6) and a design created for this week’s PPA sketch challenge.  My project incorporates these products and sketch to create a fresh, clean look for Valentine’s Day.  Here’s my card:

You Plus Me, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, PP232 And here’s the challenge banner that inspired my creation:12-18Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sentiment.  You already know how much I love fonts – and this one couldn’t be ignored.  Twitterpated: to be excited or overcome with romantic feelings; smitten.  This term was first used in the movie “Bambi,” and the stamp, itself, makes me feel happy and all ooey-gooey inside.  The font comes with a little heart at its base – I covered it with a small heart I cropped from the Confetti Hearts Border punch (also new!) and the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack used on the rest of the card.
  • The Bundle.  The You Plus Me stamp set and Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack are bundled together with a  15% savings in the catalog – and why wouldn’t you want both?  The paper is filled with gorgeous black-and-white designs on one side and fun, flirty pink and red designs on the other.  I love the papers in this collection, but I’m particularly fond of the thatched look of the papers I used here.  Here’s a peak at this perfect bundle:You Plus Me Bundle, Stampin' Up!
  • Hold it Down.  I love me some borders around my images – you already know that.  As I sat with this collections of images and papers (not yet ready to glue everything down), I realized I was missing a small border between the two Designer Series Paper patterns.  I added a thin, Real Red strip down the middle and allowed it to hang over the edges.  Just what I needed!  This grounded the large panel and gave me the balance of red I needed.  Yippee!

Stamp Sets:  You Plus Me  Papers:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Real Red, Whisper White, Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack  Accessories:  White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Confetti Hearts Border punch, Hearts Collection Framelits, Brights Candy Dots (Real Red), Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (heart), Stampin’ Dimensionals, Hexagon Punch (for banner tips)

Thanks for stopping by today!
