New Video: Wrapped Banner

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Whether you are spending the day with someone you love or just enjoying some peace and quiet by yourself, I hope today is wonderful for you.

Wrapped Banner Technique

Yesterday I shared a super-simple, yet super-fun, card that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.  Here’s the card I shared (click here to read more about it):

Groovy Love, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, PP231As promised yesterday, I have created a quick video to share this fun technique I call Wrapped Banner Technique and to offer a couple of fun tips for working with banners:

I hope you can think of some fun ways to incorporate this technique into your next project.  Whether working with a heart or wrapping that banner around an oval or circle, the wrapped banner adds a fun twist on the oh-so-popular banners, don’t you think?

Lovely Amazing You

Earlier this week, Stampin’ Up! released a new photopolymer stamp set (part of the monthly releases), and I am happy to share it with you today.  We received a sneak peek at this set during Leadership, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.  You can click on the graphic below to see this set in my online store:

I love this hand-written font (how popular were Endless Wishes and Good Greetings?!), and I love the sentiments.  I also can’t wait to use this envelope image.  Fun times!  Here are a couple of samples created by Stampin’ Up!’s amazing designers:

Make sure you add this photopolymer stamp set to your next order.  It’s only $14.95 – what a deal!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Happy Valentine’s Day Brian! Just to let you know I think you are a sweetheart EVERY day! LOL

You surprised me with your technique for the wrapped banner. I thought you were going to show how you used the heart Framelits die to first cut the heart and then cut the side of the banner to match it. Phew – you made it a lot easier than that thankfully! You are always so full of tips and tricks and so kind to share them with us.

Have a wonderful day and again, thank you for the terrific video. 🙂

  2. Great video! And thanks for the tip on making the banner tips. I just tried it and it works perfectly every time!! Thank you, thank you!!

  3. Happy Valentine’s Day Brian, every day I’m so very grateful for knowing you through your awesome blog. Thank you for all you do every day to help us enjoy this wonderful craft even more.
The tips on your video are great, your videos are so much fun to watch, you’ve come a long way my dear, since that hilarious first attempt, where you had your sweet mom helping you.
    Many hugs. 🙂

  4. Brian have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

OMG I can’t believe I was using the hexagon punch different to do the banner, watching you made it clear. Thank You

  5. Happy Valentine’s Day, Brian! Love your card with the wrapped banner technique! And, thanks so much for the tutorial!:-)

  6. Happy V.Day.my friend, you’re the best!

  7. The hexagon punch tip is fantastic! I had seen the square used before, but I always struggled with placement. You can line things up so much better with the hexagon! You’re the best.

  8. Brian, loved the video, thanks for the tips. One question…what happened to the second pillow? I squinted and realized there was an imbalance with your chairs

    • Too funny, Liz. I moved the pillow to sit in the chair just before filming this video (the reason I think pillows in chairs are silly). Forgot to put it back. I realized it when editing the video and thought it would be too difficult to CGI the pillow back in. 🙂
