April Showers – InKing Royalty Blog Hop

InKing Royalty Blog HopWelcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop.  Today we are celebrating April Showers – not only is this the season for Baby Showers and Wedding Showers, but May flowers are just around the corner, so you’re certain to see a great variety of projects along the hop.  You may have started the Blog Hop here or may have hopped over from September Gray at SeptemberGray.com.  After you read my post, I  hope you’ll hop over to the next.  If you get off track at any point during the blog hop, there’s a complete list of participants at the end of this post.

Let’s Celebrate Baby

I couldn’t be more excited to share today’s project – it’s simple and clean, but I really love how it turned out.  On the outside, it might look like a simple card.  With a closer look, though, it’s an interactive extravaganza.  If you were invited to this baby shower, here’s the card you would receive in the mail:

Sumthin' Sumthin', Baby How We've Grown, Four Your Party, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, baby shower invitations

The sentiment on the front of the invitation is attached to a belly band that wraps all the way around the card.  The sentiment is a combination of two stamps that are on Stampin’ Up!’s Retiring List – “Let’s Celebrate” from Sumthin’ Sumthin’ and “Baby” from Baby, We’ve Grown.

When the recipient pulls away the belly band, a secret invitation is revealed.  Ooooh!  You’re Invited – it must be a party!

Inside the Craft Cardstock base of the card is a Celebration Basics Invitation (another retiring product) that’s temporarily glued to the card base.  The craft envelope comes with the craft invitations.  Super-easy, super-simple.

What a day we had yesterday!  The announcement of Stampin’ Up!’s Retiring List was coupled with slow access to the online ordering for customers, but the persistent made it through – and many products are disappearing quickly!  Today, though, many of those items are still available AND the Clearance Rack has been updated with new items – and don’t forget about this week’s Weekly Deals.  Click on either of these pictures to see these items in my online store:
