Stampin’ Up!’s 2015-2017 In Colors: Complementary Pairings

Oh, my!  I am really enjoying all the new supplies that arrived in my 2015-2016 Annual Catalog pre-order on Wednesday.  Yippee!  The In Colors are always my favorite part of the new catalog releases, and I really love this year’s colors.  On Thursday, I was super-excited to share Stampin’ Up!’s 2105-2017 In Colors with you.  I showed you how each of these colors is entirely unique and nothing like any of the colors we currently have.  If you missed that post, you can see it here.

Today, I’m all about pairing these gorgeous colors with colors already in our Stampin’ Up! color families.  There’s no Color Coach in the 2015 Annual Catalog, so we’re on our own to create fun and beautiful color combinations.  I pulled some inspiration from the Designer Series Papers in the upcoming catalog and created some of these combinations all by myself – that sounds like a Shake-n-Bake commercial (“I hailped!”).

Quick review – here are the new colors:

All of these colors were stamped onto Whisper White Notecards with the Work of Art stamp set, and the sentiments were stamped with You’ve Got This, a new stamp set from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog – I shared a card with that stamp set yesterday (see it here).

What do you think?  I hope you are as in love with these colors as I am.  I can think of thousands of color combinations that will work well with these colors, and I can’t wait to explore those colors over the next two years.  What combinations do you think work best with these new In Colors?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian

  6. Well, shuckie-doodle! You’ve shown me how fun these new In Colors are! Now, I too, can’t wait to get my hands on them. I wasn’t sure about Tip Top Taupe, but I see the possibilities now — it’s a mushroomy, velvety kinda color that I think I’ll use a lot. Love your color combos, thanks!

  7. No color coach…..what were they thinking. Oh well, guess I will have to make my own using your colors as a guide. 🙂 Thanks Brian.

    Tfs , hugs Frenchie,

  9. I can’t believe I’m saying this but the Pear Pizzazz, Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede combo is my favorite of all the beautiful combo’s above. I really had to sit and look and look and look to make a decision. As much as I love SU I too wonder about the color coach – yes, What were they thinking? Not everyone is a color combo genius and some of us rely heavily on our color coach cards. Hopefully they will reconsider and perhaps reinstate that particular little tool. Believe it or not I even still use my original color wheel which was one of my first SU purchases.

Brian, you have done a fantastic job here (as always) helping us all with the color combo’s and while doing it sharing an absolutely simple, yet gorgeous card layout. Just gotta’ love you for all you do.
