Day Four: Spring One-for-One Card Swap

All good things must come to an end – and so must the cards from my Spring One-for-One Swap.  In a series of several posts over the next week, I will share these cards with everyone.  Please look them over, admire their beauty and then let the creators know how beautiful their cards are (I already know you’ll be kind with your comments, but I am going to request it, anyway).  If you participated in the swap and don’t see the card you received here, please wait to comment on the card when it debuts here.  That way, the creator of that card will be sure to see your comments.

I’m excited to showcase the last batch of cards from the swap – I know you’ll love these just as much as the others.  If you missed the other One-for-One Swap posts, you can see them here:

The collection of cards I’ll be sharing today might not all have current Stampin’ Up! products, but every card gives good ideas for color combinations, layouts, techniques.  Here are the cards shared by my wonderfully talented team members:Without further ado, here is the final batch of beauties from the swap:

  1. Thanks so much , this was a great tour of ideas and how wonderful creative is.

  2. All the cards are beautiful ! Lots of talent and creativity out there, great to see! Thanks for sharing them with us !

  3. All these cards are great but Rene’s quilt card stole my heart. I am a quilter and this card is stunning. Well I really liked the card with the Anchor , the worm is very cute and Maria is a master with the way she colored in her card. All beautiful cards with lots of ideas. Thanks to everyone for sharing. I have participated in a few swaps before but work keeps me busy. Since I am retiring at the end of the month, I will no longer have an excuse for not participating. So…..count me in on future swaps.

  4. As a cat lover, I loved the fishbowl card. Very creative
Thanks so much for sharing all of them Brian. All of the techniques are amazing!!!!!!! What an awesome idea to have the swap. You have a very creative group of stampers!

  5. WOW!! Brian, another beautiful batch of cards and I’m very happy to be in such lovely company, I wonder who got my card? The card with the kitty and the fish bowl is just so, so cute. I love shaker cards and this one is just such a wonderful one, it looks like one of the kitties is already swimming in there, such fun card by Nancy Smith. 🙂
Thank you Brian for hosting this swaps.

    • I know who received your card, and I know she has been waiting to post about it. I am just surprised she hasn’t posted yet today as she is always up before me. I will let her post her thoughts. I do know how thrilled she was to get your sweet card.

      • Hello Robyn, I’m always curious as to where my card ends up so, I will wait for your friend to post about it. Thank you for letting me know and for reminding her, you are so sweet.

        • Maria, so sorry that you had missed my response about your card but I did comment about it 5 days ago on May 17 at 8:28 AM. I was so glad that you had gotten mine and I had gotten yours I remarked about YOURS right away! I had even Facetimed with two other “Swapers” to show them your card and how cute it was. Again sorry for any mix up.

  6. WOW, I really don’t know where to begin. There is something I love about each card. I could go on and on, but I won’t. The card I made and the card I received are here. I loved my caterpillar from Meredith Leibman, what a great idea. Hope my card was liked too. 🙂
Brian, have a great 3-day weekend, ENJOY! The catalog stroll was so much fun last night. We have a lot to play with this weekend. 🙂

  7. Thanks Brian for organizing this swap. It was SO fun to see all the different ideas for so many different occasions. All the cards showed both the beauty of the people that created them, and the care they took with their creations. This has been a lot of fun.

  8. Another group of spectacular cards, folks! So many creative ideas that would never occur to me, who must always “sew” with a pattern. And what a delight to see my fellow Madison-area demo Vicky Heimbecker’s card here! She did not tell me she was going to participate in the swap. Yay!

I can’t wait to participate in another swap–this was such fun!

  9. Love Laura’s map card made with typeset. Nancy your shaker card is so sweet with the cats peeking in and out.

  10. I received Mary Schreiber’s card and love it. I especially liked the oval cut-out. I don’t think it is from SU, but it makes the card special. I also like Nancy Farrell’s card with the pretty white flowers. So Spring-like.

  11. I love them all, they’re beautiful.

  12. Would you believe I am so late to this great parade of super special cards ? Power went out last night and just came back ….so here I am to tell Robyn how cute her card is ! I do not have that Balloon Bundle ,but I am going to get it for sure now ! Robyn , your card is adorable and I love love your color choices . Thank you Brian for sending this one to me !
All of these are just fun to look at and so colorful ! Hey Maria ! Love those cute girls with their umbrellas . Cute card !

  13. Another amazing group of cards! Tricia’s Lego card brought back great memories of my children playing with these — Maria, Mary and Suzanne’s coloring and shading are so pretty — and the shaker cards would be so much fun to receive! Thanks to all for sharing your talent and inspiring us to create and to try new styles and techniques!

  14. More cute cards…nice work! Thanks again Brian for organizing such a fun swap! 🙂

  15. I love all of them. It would be hard to choose my favorite, but lots of ideas from all the creative people in the swap. Thanks, Brian, for having the swap and sharing these cards. It’s always a treat.

  16. Rene’s quilted card is just amazing! It looks like she spent hours piecing and stitching each piece together. Quilters take note…paper is a great quilting medium too. Brian did a great job showcasing each card trying to display each card’s details. Thanks for hosting another great swap!!

  17. More very cute cards. I got Tricia’s in the mail, love the Legos and the perfect sentiment to go with them. Thanks Brian for organizing this swap.

    • Debra, I am so glad you were pleased with my card. Thank you for your kind words. What a fun way to “meet” other stampers!

  21. There it is –Sandra Rice’s card, which I received in the swap. The photo doesn’t do justice to how fresh & crisp it is “in person.” Thanks, Sandra!

  24. Thanks for the kind words on my kitty shaker card. I was lucky to receive Laura’s beautiful map card. It is so well designed and I love the way she used the two-tone olive trim on it.

All the cards are great – thanks for organizing the swap, Brian!

  25. I received Nancy’s adorable shaker card and I’m putting to very good use. I have two adorable grand cats, Spring and Winter, that reside in California with my eldest daughter. I know this card will give her the biggest smile.
