A Sweet Thanks with Sprinkles of Life

I do love a quick-and-simple card that makes a statement.  By combining Me=Grateful with Sprinkles of Life, I’ve created a super-cute card that’s not super-hard to make.  The elements and soft colors come together to create a very sweet thank you.  Here’s my card:Me=Grateful, Sprinkles of Life, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • 1-2-3.  Who doesn’t love a triple-stacked ice cream cone?  With Sprinkles of Life and the Tree Builder punch, it’s as easy as 1-2-3.  I stamped each of these ice cream scoops with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette card stock and punched each out.  They are layered on top of a So Saffron cone (also stamped with Crumb Cake), which is super easy to snip out.  All that sweetness is topped with a single Real Red cherry punched from the Tree Builder punch.

  • Sweet Combination.  When I sat down to create this quick-and-easy card several weeks ago, I needed a thank you card  I think this sentiment from Me=Grateful works so well with this ice cream cone because it’s similar to the print you’d find in an old fashioned ice cream parlor.  To me it looks like something that might be drawn on a cafe billboard.  The flat area over “thanks” also gave me a great spot to nestle my cone.  Love both of these sets!

  • Color Combination.  I just love the softness of the colors in this card – so soft that my camera had a hard time getting a good picture.  While So Saffron is a supporting player in this color combination (it’s perfect as the base for the cone), the three colors used in the ice cream and in the base of the card are key.  If you like them, too, please feel free so save this:Stampin' Up!
