Corrugated Thank You

When I sat down to make a bold and classy thank you card, I reached for a couple of new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.  Since this is the first time I’ve used either of these items (and since I love both of them so much), I did the best I could to dress them up for their debut.  Here’s my 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • One Big Meaning.  One Big Meaning is the must-have “thank you” set from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.  I used Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder to emblazon this gorgeous sentiment from One Big Meaning on a piece of Kraft cardstock.  These “thank you” stamps are flexible to go very formal or very casual – depends on how the mood strikes you.  While most of these long sentiments are perfect for a front-and-center placement on a card front, the “thank you” I chose is perfect for a 2-1/2″ Circle punch.  Here are the other sentiments in this collection:

  • Corrugated Paper.  Have you seen the corrugated paper yet?  It’s truly wonderful!  Rough it up for a distressed look, or simple cut it for a clean texture on your card front.  The package comes with 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ corrugated paper (2 white, 2 kraft).  I cropped four 2″ squares and pieced them together, alternating the directions of the striped patterns.  They come together to make a fun pattern.

  • Color Combination.  While there are so many opportunities to ink up the corrugated paper, I left them clean and crisp.  The addition of Basic Black really classed-up the joint, don’t you think?  I love how the three colors work together to make this simple card beautiful.  If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this:Stampin' Up!
