I’ll Miss You, Mossy Meadow

All good things must come to an end.  Stampin’ Up!’s 2014-2016 In Colors will be going away* with the release of the new catalog in June, so it’s time to start preparing for their departure.  After two years with these colors, we’ve grown to love them and instinctively reach for them.  Some took longer to warm up to than others, but we still have to let them go.

*If there’s a color refresh, we might see some of these colors stick around, but we have no information to indicate they won’t be going away at the end of May.

In a series of posts over a couple of weeks, I’m sharing a look back at these in colors and sharing some color combinations I like for each.  First, here’s a recap of the colors that will be retiring soon:

2014-2016 In Colors, Stampin' Up!I already bid a fond farewell to Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon.  If you missed those posts, you can see them here:

Mossy Meadow

Mossy Meadow was an immediate favorite of mine.  At first, I wanted to think it was just like Garden Green, but it’s not.  Oddly, this green is dirtier and yet more sophisticated.  It’s a green that pairs with almost any color in the Stampin’ Up!’ spectrum.  Pair it with pale blues, bright pinks, soft pinks, browns, yellows…shall I continue?  It’s a lovely color, and I hate to see it go.  It’s with great regard that I look to a future color refresh that will #BringMossyMeadowBack.

  1. Well Brian, you ol’ enabler, you. I love my Mossy Meadow but thought I could live without Watermelon Wonder. But seeing that combo, and knowing WW will be gone one day as well, you convince me not to lose this chance to own it!

  2. Oh that Mossy Meadow ! It is such a strong color with an air of dignity .
This is another one of those drama colors . I like it ,but have not used it often. Really like your color combos using it .
From that peek at new colors coming …..there will be no color like Good Ole Mossy !

  3. Mossy Meadow, the perfect negotiator. I can’t think of any color it doesn’t really go with. Black mourning band on that ink pad!

  4. I categorize Mossy Meadow as a “regal”, which are my favorites. Sure will miss it, thanks for giving it such a fond farewell! 🙂

  5. I couldn’t agree with you more, Mossy Meadow has been a go-to color.

  6. IN the two years that Mossy Meadow has been with us I have gone through so much Mossy Meadow paper I cannot even keep track of how much. I love Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss. It will be a tearful goodbye. So sad.

  7. Brilliant possibilities. I love your Soft Sky combination. Unique and modern!

  8. No card? Insert pouting big lip 🙁
But I do love all you posts. xo

  9. I’m crossing my fingers for Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey as I still love them as much as I did when I said they were my absolute favorites.
