Suite Seasons and a Sweet Color Challenge

This week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge is perfect for Fall!  Michelle Quinno has selected three colors that are bright and vibrant – Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry.  What fun!  I kept with a Fall theme, but I wanted to showcase the lightness of these colors by stamping off several times before stamping the Vintage Leaves onto my card.  Here’s my card for Michelle’s challenge:

  • Suite Seasons.  I paired these Fall colors with a gorgeous sentiment from Suite Seasons – the all-seasons-encompassing stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Holiday Catalog.  Love it!  It’s bold and has a beautiful mix of fonts that makes it perfect for modern and classic projects.  I stamped the sentiment in Archival Basic Black and then added thin borders on the card and panels to tie back to the sentiment.  Christmas, Halloween, Fall and All-Year – they are all here:

  • Stamping Off.  I inked up these leaves from Vintage Leaves – still one of the most gorgeous stamp sets ever – and stamped the leaves onto scrap paper three or four times each before stamping them on this panel of Whisper White.  Taking some of the ink off the stamp gives a much lighter version of the stamp that allows the bold, black sentiment to really shine.  My card might not showcase the full strength of these colors, but they are there and play a very important part in this card.

  • Sahara Sand – and a Bonus Layer.  I used a base of Sahara Sand for my three-colors-panel to allow those colors to shine.  The large panel behind the front panel is stamped with the same leaves in Sahara Sand – can you see it?  I stamped off several times before stamping them here to add a soft texture behind the colorful panel.  Although the two panels are offset from each other, they are perfectly balanced by the bold sentiment.

Stamp Sets:  Suite Seasons, Vintage Leaves  Papers:  Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Whisper White  Inks:  Archival Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand  Accessories:  Pearl Basic Jewels,  Stampin’ Dimensionals

I hope you’ll pop over to The Pals Paper Arts site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
