Thank You Quilt Card

This is a thank you card I made for my Aunt Claudette who gave me a lovely housewarming gift earlier this month.  Claudette is a quilter (she’s as obsessed with quilting as I am with card making), so I wanted to make a patchwork quilt card for her.  This is an easy way to use designer series paper scraps, but don’t let the simplicity of the card fool you.  🙂  Putting all the little pieces together was quite difficult.  Regardless, I love the finished product.

Here’s how I did it:

I used Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral card stock as the base for this card (both are 2012-2013 In Colors).  I also used Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (2012 SAB paper) and Very Vanilla card stock.  I cut 1″ squares and pieced them together in this patchwork quilt pattern.  I cased the quilt pattern after a card by Mary Fish, who I believe cased her pattern from someone else.  I finished with a Summer Smooches fabric-covered button.

I hope you like this card!

    • Mary, I am glad you like it because I totally cased it from you – I owned up to my thievery in my blog entry and gave the credit to you. 🙂 I tried to switch up the layout many different ways (actually spent several hours on this card), but your way was always best. You are the best. Brian
