One-for-One Swap Cards: Part 1

I am still giddy with excitement over the responses to my first ever One-for-One Card Swap. It was such a joy for me to check the mail each and every day and to see the beautiful cards you made for one another. They came from all over the U.S., and I hope you were pleased with the cards you received in the mail.  Because of the Columbus Day Holiday, they weren’t mailed until Tuesday morning, but I hope you’ve received yours by now.

As I promised, I am sharing each and every one of the cards with you, but I’m going to share them ten at a time (randomly selected). You’ll see some today, some on Tuesday and the remaining cards on Wednesday.  I ask that you please share your praise for these works. Let the creator know how much you loved their card, their color choices, their techniques by posting comments below. Spread the love around, and no negative words, please.

How lucky was I to receive all of these!?!  Even if I had to send them back out into the world, I enjoyed receiving every one of them.  I will definitely be doing more of these swaps in the future.  Thanks, again, for participating!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. Wow! What a treat to see ten cards on today’s post! Oh they’re fantastic! (insert excitement here) AND my swap buddy is in today’s group! Tricia thank you so much for the love you poured into my card! I blogged all about it yesterday http://pattisstampingstudio.blogspot.com/2012/10/card-swap-featuring-tricia-barber.html and still doing a happy dance! This was a lot of fun Brian!

  2. Love all these cards. What a lot of work and creativity.

  3. Brian, thank you so much for this. You share your talent and love of stamping daily and then go beyond that to showcase the work of others too. You are talented, smart, very funny and dedicated – now I add humility to your list of attributes. ( Yes, I know your going to say, “What about good looking?”. Okay, and good looking.)

Hello Brian: WOW!! Lovely cards, feel so honored to have mine posted here. One of my cards came from Lisa Poe, in OH. I love the rich colors, fabulous man card, thank you Lisa. This was so much fun and waiting for my cards was exciting. I got mine last Friday, as I was coming back from my run, I saw the mail truck in front of my mailbox and I sprinted to get my stuff. It’s amazing to get cards or letters in the mail. In this electronic age, receiving a hand made, hand written card is such a joy. Unfortunately, the cost of a post stamp is getting to be to much so a lot of people don’t send cards anymore. I still do, I just can’t help it, besides, it’s just once a year, during the Holidays that I buy a lot of stamps.
Anyway, thank you again Lisa for my card and thank you Brian for the chance to enjoy each other’s art and style and for the joy and excitement of receiving this cards.

    • Hi Maria. Your cards are stunning. You have some serious water coloring skills! I am so glad that Brian shared them with us!

    • Kudos to all who participated in Brian’s card swap. Thank you Maria Rodriguez for the compliments on my card. Thrilled that you like it. Your swap cards are just as wonderful. Isn’t it exciting what other paper crafters come up with. The ideas are endless. Thank you Brian again for all the time you spent on the fab swap. Can’t wait to for another one.

    • Maria, THANK YOU for the beautiful card! I received the one with the pear. I too love to receive hand made cards in the mail, but it’g getting less and less all the time. Funny thing is, I’m so used to getting my cards back in the mail for lack of postage that when I received yours I actually had to give it a seond to glance to see that it was for me! Your card has such attention to detail. I love the brush of gold over the back ground and the delicate shine to the pear.

  8. Each and every card is a work of art! I absolutely love the little elephant with the heart and the penguin in the snow. And the kitty with the googly eyes is very fun. What a great idea, Brian!
