I am still giddy about the One-for-One Card Swap I held back in September. While several of you participated in the exchange, many of you did not have an opportunity. After the deadline (and after you saw how talented the other stampers are), many of you expressed an interest in participating in my next swap. Now’s your chance!
Now that we’ve got Halloween under our belts, I’m hosting a One-for-One Holiday Card swap. For the next couple of weeks, plan and strategize your most perfect Holiday Card. Focus on December – it can be Christmas, Hanukkah or just a snowy card. Give me your best, and I’ll make sure you get a beauty in return.
Here’s how it will work:
- You mail the following to me:
- a handmade card (a standard 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ card). It would be great if your card was made with products from the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs, but I won’t force that on you. I’m easy like that.
- a self-addressed, stamped envelope (just fold it in half and include it with your card).
- a little information for me if you want to share: your name, your email address, your level of interest in stamping (are you a light hobbyist, a serious hobbyist or a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?), and your website address (if you have one). I will share your name and city/state on my blog and with the person who receives your card. The other information WILL NOT be shared with anyone else. I just want to get to know you better.
- Please don’t write on the inside of your card so that the recipient can use it (if they choose to).
- I will gather the cards I receive and will mix them up and mail them out so that everyone who sent me a card will receive a card in return. As long as I receive a card from you by the deadline, then you will receive another card in return.
I’m totally fine if you want to send more than one card (I’m talking to you, Maria!). That just means you’ll receive more than one card. 🙂 Make sure you include a return envelope for each card you send.
Mail your card and return envelope to:
Brian King
1758 Colt Drive
Atlanta, GA 30341
Please mail them as soon as you can – but make sure they arrive by Thanksgiving. During my Thanksgiving break, I will gather them, sort them and then mail them out shortly after. I will also include photos of the cards on my blog (giving proper credit to the creator, of course). So sorry, but this swap is only open to folks with a U.S. addresses.
Who’s in? Email me if you have any questions. [email protected]
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Brian

Hi Brian .., I’m sitting here with a cold glass of wine and surfing your blog. I’m feeling a little guilty for having spent an hour + just looking and reading. What talent you have brought to the blogging world! You amaze me with your ability to ‘take it to the next level’! I am going to step out of my comfort zone and take a swing at this swap you announced … my anxiety of disappointing the stamping world will be put up on a shelf for a day. You inspire me.!!
Wow Brian thanks for doing this fun thing so we can amuse and be amused….Again I’m so in! It was fun waiting for cards to come via snail mail and THANK YOU Brian for sharing all the cards that you got so we could see what everyone else got!!! My cards were awesome….i feel so inferior to the cards I received oh well, but you know I think I will feel a tad bit sorry for your postal carrier……you have upped the ante….Lets go card makers!!! I will send my card next week….
Hello everyone, I am so excited to participate again, it’s loads of fun making the cards but even more fun WAITING FOR THEM!!!!! Last time I made 3, this time I’m sending 5, each grandchild will be represented. Vanessa 14, Gabriel 12, Olivia 9, Anastasia 8 and Steven Michael 5. I will include in each card the reason why I picked that particular stamp and design. Ohhhhh!! I absolutely love this. I have 3 made, I will finish the other 2 tomorrow and they will be on their merry way to Brian’s house on Monday.
It’s going to be very difficult to wait for mine to arrive.
Thanks in advance.
Maria.
Brian, you have convinced me! I am home today and will create a card (or two) to send. I also hope I can even come a “little bitty close” to all these wonderful designers! You inspire me to just jump in and take a chance! Thanks for all you do! Cards will be on their way this week. 🙂
