Treat Yourself to Some Learning

Stampin’ Up!’s Mission Statement, The Statement of the Heart, encapsulates the purpose of the company and its reason for existing.  It reads:

To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference.

I love to create, and I love to learn, but I also love to entertain and to share what I have learned – I try to do that every day on my blog and with my friends who stamp with me.  I hope that I successfully inspire you to try new things, and I hope I teach you something new every now and then.  Well, now I’ve got some help – Stampin’ Up! has agreed to help me help you.  🙂

Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! announced its downloadable training classes.  The first series of classes (The Basics) is divided into six sections that center around a variety of topics, including masking, watercoloring and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  The class includes videos, step outs, and supply lists for more than 30 projects.

I’ll be honest with you (I always am) – I wasn’t too crazy about this promotion at first.  I didn’t know what to expect, and I wasn’t sure I could promote the product (I wouldn’t promote it to you if I didn’t like it myself).  But all that changed yesterday when I downloaded the series, read through the materials and watched the videos.  I was really impressed with the work that was put into this bundle of training materials – everyone can learn new things here, and it’s all so nicely organized and presented so well.

AND it’s only $14.95 – AND you don’t have to pay shipping AND you don’t have to wait for it to arrive.  Just click below to download the training and treat yourself to some new learning today:

Stampin’ Up! – The Basics

Oh!  And you can add this downloadable training to a product order to accumulate Sale-a-Bration or Hostess awards.  Eeeek!  How exciting is that?!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Brian

  1. Hi Brian – can we get this through you (I live in the UK)? I think it would be great if we could!!!! I know products can’t be sent to the UK :(, but we do now have most of what you have in the States :). Many thanks. A x

    • That’s a great question! I’m almost certain you won’t be able to order through me, but I will definitely ask. You are so kind to ask. More to come…

    • Angel you are on my same wavelength. I tried unsuccessfully to buy this from Brians site last night. You have to create an account & and that requires address info we can’t give over here in the UK. SO,I emailed Stampin Up saying is there a way we can make this work? I have a fab Demo over here in Maldon Essex (Jo Blackman – you know who you are!) that I wouldn’t swap for the world. But I love following Brians blog and would like to give something back for all the inspiration he gives us, buying a download from him would be the perfect way. I don’t see why miles should be an obstacle for downloads. Why don’t all us UK Brian fans email stampin up (I emailed [email protected]) and say we want to support Brian? Come on chaps – lets rally some British Bulldog support and get onto them! 😀

    • I just spoke with Stampin’ Up! support – Marilyn confirmed that you cannot make any purchases from me – including the downloads. I’m so sorry. How absolutely sweet of both of you to want to throw me some support! I am really touched by your intention and am thankful for you! Quick fix – move to the US, live with me and become my customer. Yay! That’ll do it. 🙂

  2. Hi Brian:
I think SU would have been smart to put up a “sample” class first so that we could try it before we buy it. My question would be once we “bought” a class, does it stay in our computer forever (well as forever as anything in a computer can be) for us to reference for as long as we want (yes I realize it’s a PDF file), or does using it expire after a specific time frame? Also, won’t this affect demonstrator workshops since if you buy instruction via internet video there really is no need to attend a workshop? I guess I’m pretty old fashioned and prefer to keep some things just as they are………….

    • Grace, I certainly understand your thoughts on this – as a very analytical person, I had some of the same quesions pop into my head at first. The .pdfs and videos are downloaded right to your computer where you can keep them or print them for as long as you want. This series covers basic stamping technique but has a little bit for everyone. There’s still plenty of new and fun things that we demonstrators can share on our blogs and with our classes. I don’t feel like it threatens what I can offer – I feel like it enhances it. I, too, would have like to have seen a sample class before I bought it, but I like what I see. 🙂

      • Thanks Brian – now I feel a bit better about it. Now, if you don’t get the first series can you still purchase future series or do you have to start with the first one? I am anxiously awaiting my Pumpkin Patch (rats a roney, I forgot the name of the monthly packet) to try it out. Since I live in a pretty rural area I think it’s going to be great fun to receive a surprise package every month!

  3. Okay now you have got me interested…. being a low key tech person can I enjoy this just by going to the site that you have so kindly put up for us today ?? Should I wait until March to do it when my club orders are entered ….As Pooh would say “oh, worry ,worry ” ….I saw something about this class yesterday but, wasn`t sure I would be interested . But, if you have given your seal of approval then for the low price of $14.95 I just might jump on board ! I can always learn something …. I`m clever like that (wink)

    • Sonny, Add it to your club order so that it can be applied toward SAB credits. I think the classes will build on one another, and you’ll want to have them all. Not sure when the next set of classes will come out or how they will build on them, but the first set is worth it. 🙂

  4. Thank you …that helped unravel some … I think it would be fun to have all of this wonderfulness interconnect …. and why isn`t Grace in our club she sounds like my kind of gal !!1 I love love packages in the mail and on line classes and videos are sort of like that !!

  5. Hi Sonny –
I’m not on board for the club because I am retired and on a limited budget so I need to pretty much prioritize the things I get involved with. When I hit the lottery I’ll be able to get involved in everything that’s going on. Also, when I win the lottery I’ll throw a great big party in Brian’s fungeon and pay for every one of the Brian faithful to attend. There, now everyone will be rooting for me to win the lottery right? LOL

  6. Well Grace , I totally understand I just retired myself …but, when you win the lottery you understand that you will also be footing the bill for Bryan`s fans from merry ole England to attend …just saying !

    • If I win the lotters I won’t care if they come from New Zealand…………..oops, I guess I should check with Brian first before I offer up his fungeon for a party! LOL

  7. It’s the same here in oz( Australia) sadly.

  8. Oops, I meant about the buying goodies from Brian. We can only buy from Aussie demonstrators.

  9. Well Grace is going to pay for Australia also …Didn`t she tell you ? And Brian I really did a new version of your name !! It`s kinda catchy !!
