A MOJO Monday Sketch and Some Important Updates

The layout for today’s card is inspired by a MOJO Monday Sketch Challenge and features Epic Day Designer Series Paper, a new paper that’s part of the This and That bundle. More about that later. First, I’m going to share my card…then the sketch…then bunches of new promotions you need to know about. You deserve to hear all about them, so grab your coffee, and let’s spend some time together.

Here’s my card:Pursuit of Happiness, World Treasure, Epic Day Designer Series Paper

And here’s the MOJO Monday sketch:

MOJO Sketch

A couple of things about this card:

  • Epic Day Designer Series Paper.  My This and That bundle arrived in the mail yesterday.  I immediately had to break into this Designer Series Paper.  It’s beautiful, and I can think of a hundred things I want to make with it.  I started with this card.  Some of Stampin’ Up’s papers are designed with antiqued edges and waterspots around the sides.  This is one of those papers.  The pieces I used here are the “cleaner” pieces from the center of each page.
  • Colors.  I really love the muted colors in this Designer Series Paper.  I especially love the inspirational words on this Pool Party piece I used for the background and repeated on the front panel.  The uplifting words coordinate well with the sentiment.
  • Can you guess it?  Do you recognize the sun that’s peeping through on the left hand side?  If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve seen it before.  Under the rules of CASEing, do I need to announce that I am CASEing my own card?  If so, then I CASE’d this card from the talented and ever-amazing Brian King at stampwithbrian.com.  You should check out his work.  πŸ™‚  Try to guess, and then check out the other card I made here.

Stamp sets:  Pursuit of Happiness, World Treasures  Papers:  Epic Day Designer Series Paper, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Whisper White  Inks:  Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight  Accessories:  2″ Circle punch, 1-3/4″ Circle punch, 3/16″ Neutral Brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals

OK, so you endured the card and my words about it.  Now, won’t you please listen to a couple of promotional items?

Spring Paper Share.  I’m hosting a Spring Designer Series Paper Share, and I have two seats open in my last share.  Won’t you join in?  Click here to learn about the papers that are included and to reserve your seat in the share.

My Stampin’ Clubhouse.   Don’t miss out – we are forming yet another online hostess club, and we are waiting for you. You want to be a part of it, so please email me if you have questions or to sign up. Check it out here. MyStampinClubhouse

This and That.  Like I said, my This and That bundle came in the mail yesterday.  I’ll be honest – I ordered it just to see what all the fuss is about.  I had no idea that I would ever use it or how.  Once this little gem made its way into my hands, I knew I’d be creating something fun and interesting with it.  Totally do-able.  Even if you don’t want the book (which you do), there are som cool products that come along with it.  They can be ordered individually, too (see page 2 of the flyer).

April’s “Best of” Stamp Set.  In celebration of Stampin’ Up!’s 25th Anniversary, they are bringing back some favorite stamps from the years past.  April’s stamp set is The Best of Butterflies.  Have you ever been so excited!?  Click on the flyer below.

Sent with Love.  The Sent with Love bundle is going away at the end of April.  Have you been eyeing those gorgeous colors and those adorable planes?  If so, you don’t have too much time left to order it.  Don’t let this one pass you by!  To see a project I recently made with this kit, click here.  To review the flyer, click the image below.

Paper Pumpkin.  Did you let the Paper Pumpkin coach drive right past your house last month?  You have until the 10th to sign up so that you can start receiving it this month.  It’s only $19.95 per month, and it’ll automatically be delivered to your doorstep.  This kit is packed with goodies, and I’d hate for you to miss out on the surprises that will surely come.  To read my promotional post about My Paper Pumpkin and to see how you can sign up, click here.

Spring is in the Air.  As if all this wasn’t enough, Stampin’ Up! recently released a stamp set that will be offered in the new catalog.  The stamp set coordinates with the 7/8″ Scallop punch, so this promotion bundles the two together (although you can also buy the set alone).  I think you need to add this one to your list.  Click on the flyer below for more information:

Single Stamps.  They were supposed to be available through March 31, but they’ve been so popular that Stampin’ Up! is offering these assortments through July 31.  Check them out!  Click on the links below to see the single stamps that are currently available:

  1. You clever thing you!! I really tried to guess what stamp you used to make that sun but I finally had to click to see the other one you made some time ago. Both are beautiful Brian, this sketch is awesome too.

  2. Nice colours for a very nice card !

  3. Oh wow! Fantastic card, Brian! I love the DSP … the muted colors and the words of inspirations. The rounded corners of the Pool Party panel add extra softness which balances out the contrast of the sun rays peeking out from the back panel. Perfect backdrop for the sentiment medallion! πŸ™‚
Lots of “specials” to look at and decide if we “have to have” any or some or all of them πŸ˜‰
