Every single day of the year, I am aware of the many things I have to be thankful for. I work really hard for many of the things I have, but I acknowledge that I am fortunate to have friends, family, health and an incredible job that support me and love me along the way. For those things, I am eternally grateful. That’s why card making is so easy for me this time of year. Statements of gratitude and thanksgiving have become a second nature reaction to the beautiful colors of Fall and the turn in the weather. 
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- A Festive Frame of Leaves. I have envisioned this card since the moment this stamp set arrived at my doorstep. I really like the sketched look of these leaves and the way we can layer them on top of each other to create an even sketch-ier look. With my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I lined up these leaves to place three on each side of a square. I tried to tilt the leaves so as to close off any opening to the center of the card. That way, I could trim the outsides of the frame with ease (well, there was a lot of fussy cutting but not a lot of thinking). As you can see, the background of leaves is all one piece:
- Beautiful Fall Colors. The skeleton of each of these leaves is stamped with Early Espresso. Once they were all stamped down, I added the two-step stamping “fill-in” with a selection of four Fall colors: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum. Why this selection? I wanted a variation of basic colors: red, yellow, green and purple. Some were softer, and some were darker. I stamped off each of these colors once before stamping them onto this sheet.
- The central image. My original concept was to simply have a clean square of Very Vanilla with the “Truly Grateful” sentiment – a clean centerpiece to complement the busy background. It needed more. After agonizing about it for a while, I realized the answer was just under my nose. I stamped the “fill-in” leaf in Crushed Curry for a beautiful accent to this beautiful sentiment.

Such an appropriate card for today………………….1st day of fall and it’s absolutely gorgeous here in Ohio! Yes, your card is absolutely gorgeous as well. Love that you incorporated Perfect Plum into your fall color scheme. Of course the other colors are great fall colors too. I lean towards the hues of purple this time of year. Your leaf collage is a masterpiece! Amazing! Betting you have tons of great memories from this weekend. Maybe next time you can go North.

What was the dimension of your paper that you stamped. I am getting the new envelope cutter and thought we could make an envelope for this card, but not sure of the size.
I actually stamped the leaves onto a piece of Very Vanilla, unconcerned about how big it would be because I knew I could make the base any size and then an envelope of any size. Yay! It ended up that the base of the card was 5-3/4″ x 5-3/4″. So thankful for the envelope board.
