Pals Blog Hop: Sharing What We Love

2014febhop_badge

Welcome to the Pals February Blog Hop. This month we are excited to share with you what we love about Stampin’ Up! – our stamps, tools, accessories and techniques.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Kerry Willard Bray at Peonies and Paper Chains – stop #1 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

What I Love About Stampin’ Up!

What do I love?  Glitter is definitely at the top of my list.  There’s just something super-special about the sparkle of those tiny pieces of metal and how they travel around with you for days and days.  After glitter, I’d have to say I love getting together with my team members and friends to stamp.  Stampin’ Up! makes so many products that provide us with a good reason to gather with our friends – like a variety of kits.  The Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit (#133333) retails for only $17.95 and includes all the items you see below:

Believe it or not, all of those materials combine to make this:

Burlap and Blooms Simply Made Wreath Kit, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingLast weekend, Pam, Allie, Zenda and Lee came over to make the wreath with me.  We had a ton of fun, and I captured the whole thing in a video that I would like to share with you.  This video is filled with fun times and some tips we learned along the way.

I hope you enjoyed the video – and maybe learned a couple of things.  Fun times!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian

The next stop is Janice Warhank at  Janice’s Papercraft Playground – #4 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.

  6. Definitely an award winning video with a great cast! What a FUN Saturday for y’all! It is always nice to watch a video before you put together a kit – helpful hits are usually revealed – visual learning is an added bonus to printed instructions for sure. Thank you for all your helpful hints! And, of course, the ever-present humor of the king!

  7. What do I love? Glitter is definitely at the top of my list……I had to take a second look to make sure I was at the correct site. LOL. Cute video and congratulations on winning the door prize. 🙂

  12. Brian, this video was fantastic! Not only because of the project and the tips shared, but because I LOVED seeing your team mates! And, not only did I notice that three people left without the wreath in their possession, but I also noticed you kept Pammie, Pam, Pam!!! Not fair… you must share!!! LOL! Well done, my friend….

  13. Loved it all, the video and the project….kind of made me feel like I was back at our Atlanta gathering. The wreath looks stunning on your door!

  17. You are so BAD!!!!!!!!! Loved the wreath on YOUR front door!!!!!!!!!!

  18. “What do I love? Glitter is definitely at the top of my list”! Oh Brian, Brian, Brian – I’m not even going to touch that one! LOL I so enjoyed the video and wish I lived close enough to go to gatherings like the one you just had. Also, I always pictured homes in Atlanta as being really, really close together like they are in most major cities and was so surprised to see just how large your front yard is. Wow – looks like a fabulous place to live. I really thought the wreath came out exceptionally well and it seems the ladies are a super group to stamp with. I just loved the entire thing. Great job!

  19. Too funny! Thanks for the much needed smile; great video; great tips. Thanks for sharing!

  20. I wish I’d had teachers like you when I was at school Brian! It would have been so much more fun! Loved the video, and meeting your friends.
PS you love glitter? You are hilarious!

  21. This was so much fun to make and the video turned out great! Good thing I got my SU! shipment last night to make my own wreath this week during the storm!

  22. Such fun! And look who ended up with the wreath …did anybody check those slips of paper before they went into the jar ? Loved it and all I can say is I think there is a new Mr. Roger`s Neighborhood show in the works !!

  24. Hi Brian, what a great blog! Oh, I should keep this to just three things. . .
I loved the video . . . the team, the tips and the fun ya’ll were having. Hoping to see more videos from you soon. Oh one more thing . . . that you won the wreath, great, great great surprise. 🙂

  25. Best video ever! Kudos especially to the Director of Music–the music played during the assembly section made me want to cheer! 🙂

  26. The wreath that THEY created is the prettiest one I have seen using this kit! I am sure you will think of them every time you look at it! I love wreathes so will be using this one to CASE. Does Pam always talk that fast?! I think she had lots of caffeine!

  27. I am now loving this kit too! I love how you were able to capture the whole experience on video, it made it so much more enjoyable. Fabulous tips from everyone as well! Congrats on winning the beautiful creation too!

  28. What a cute project, it’s like a welcome reminder that Spring will be here soon. I loved the video, the tips are really helpful. I hope you don’t mind if I add a tip that I picked up from a video from Sam of Pootles Papercraft. She suggested using a wooden skewer to twist the flowers around. I’m a clumsy fingers, so I’m thinking it will help when I do the wreath.

  29. you did NOT say you like glitter! lies!

  30. Love your video. Looks like fun! A great project to keep in mind when the snow melts up here in Maine in about three months. : )

  31. Oh, I’m late, I got a bit side tracked but, OMG!!!!! what a fantastic video, you guys are hilarious, a really awesome bunch of people!!!!! And you are one lucky guy, my dear, because you not only got lots of help, but you ended up winning the wreath…..hmmmmm…..I hope the drawing of the name was not rigged.

  33. Great video and project, Brian. As a few others questioned in their comments, were all the names in the jar “Brian”? LOL!

  34. I laughed out loud at this! What a good way to do an instructional video and not have to talk!! And you won the wreath??? Right! Great job, Brian! Loved it!

  35. Hmmmm… the wreath is GREAT, but the “drawing” is suspect! TFS!
