Spring One-for-One Swap: Day One

I’ve hosted several One-for-One swaps over the past two years.  The response has always been really great, but they seem to be getting bigger and better with time.  My mailbox has been filled to the brim with beautiful, Spring-themed cards for the past several months.  It’s a joy for me to break into these cards and then mail them back out to you

In a series of several posts over the next couple of weeks, I will share these cards with everyone.  Please look them over, admire their beauty and then let the creators know how beautiful their cards are (I already know you’ll be kind with your comments, but I am going to request it, anyway).  If you participated in the swap and don’t see the card you received here, please wait to comment on the card when it debuts here.  That way, your card creator will be sure to see your comments.

The collection of cards I’ll be sharing might not all have current Stampin’ Up! products (although that was requested), but every card gives good ideas for color combinations, layouts, techniques.  Without any further ado, here is the first batch of your beautiful cards:by Eileen Curry, stampwithbrian.com by Georgina Haynes, stampwithbrian.com by Kathy Sevier, stampwithbrian.com by Stephanie Sherry, stampwithbrian.com by Stephanie Sherry, stampwithbrian.com by Melanie Coverston, stampwithbrian.com by Sharon Porter, stampwithbrian.com by Nancy Farrell, stampwithbrian.com by Kay Powell, stampwithbrian.com by Kay Powell, stampwithbrian.com by Julie Draper, stampwithbrian.com by Helen Rivera, stampwithbrian.com by Helen Rivera, stampwithbrian.com by Candace Ramey, stampwithbrian.com by Mary Rodgers, stampwithbrian.com

Now, please let these artists know how much you appreciate their cards.  Which ones stand out to you?  Did you receive one of these?  If so, please click on “comments” below and share your thoughts here.

More of these gorgeous cards to come as the week unfolds.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  7. I received Candace’s fun butterfly card…..love the layout and color combo. All of these cards are so fun, but I especially love Nancy’s oval card with all it’s textures and Stephanie’s use of 2 of my favorite sets….Petite Petals and Gorgeous Grunge. Thank you to all for sharing your great ideas.
Also, thank you for your kind comments on my submission.

  8. I especially liked Mary’s card with Simply Sketched (I am so sad that is a hostess set and will not be returning), and Candace’s card with the vanilla embossing folder background and the beautiful blue butterfly punch additions. I LOVE clean and simple, especially since I am always looking for cards with only a few layers that are easier to mail, but still beautiful. Thanks Brian for organizing this awesome share for all of us to view!

  9. Awesome cards! Great start to my morning….

  13. Eileen ~ I am the lucky recipient of your starfish card. Thank you so much! It is delicate, simple and very lovely. Receiving it was a breath of fresh air on a cold, rainy Minnesota day. I don’t have those stamps yet but am now thinking I will order them. And…… I’m sure it’s not a coincidence that Brian chose to send your card to me since we share the same last name. How much fun is that? 🙂

  14. Such creativity in the first batch of cards. So much color and texture. They all are winners. I adore Eileen’s starfish card. Cute and simple. Petite petals is a set I go to a lot, so Stephaine’s card is adorable too. Aren’t swaps so much fun! They allow all of us to admire cards from around the world that we wouldn’t normally be able to see. It’s all possible because of Brian putting in a lot of hard work. Thank you Brian for another successful swap.

It’s so much fun to see all the creations! Nice job, everyone!

  22. Love Kay Powell’s 2 cards. Hydrangeas are my favorite flowers and the blue theme and stamp set on the Thanks card is gorgeous. Is that a new stamp?

    • I agree. They are both gorgeous. I’m not familiar with either of the sentiment stamps. I don’t know if they are Stampin’ Up! images, but I don’t think they are in the current catalogs.

  23. I received the beautiful card from Mary Rodgers! I am inspired by the colors and the embellishment! Since I am fairly new to Stampin up! I am dizzy with all the beautiful cards and can’t wait to get started on some recreations! So much talent out there!

  24. Wow! Eileen Curry’s By The Tide leadoff card is the way to start this great collection! Nancy Farrell, your side open, oval cut then embossed card is lovely! Stephanie Sherry- your Petite Petals card is super spring-y, happy and clean and simple. Love it!
Nancy Farrell, were you hoping that SU would bring back Orchid Opulence, too? (LOL, I sure was. Love that old DSP and I still have some!) You did such a nice job of adding color to the hydrangea. Brian, I believe that set is about 4 years old, and maybe it was a hostess set, but I can’t remember the name. I have it and still use it!
