You’ve already heard me say this (or maybe you read the words I’ve written) – the Holiday Catalog is AMAZING! If you haven’t yet seen it, then you are in for a treat! While there are so certainly many products that are perfect for all of the Fall Holidays, there are also others that work well at all times of the year. Here’s a card I made with the Confetti Stars Punch:
And here’s the banner from Nance Leedy’s four-color challenge at The Paper Players:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- FOUR! Nance wasn’t messing around when she threw down the gauntlet on this color challenge – four colors. Four. On top of that, two pinks, a yellow and a gray. Nice job, Nance! While I was initially overwhelmed by the challenge, I quickly reminded myself that they don’t call it a challenge for nothing, right? I knew that if I used all four, they couldn’t be used equally, so I minimized the use of Blushing Bride.
- A Spattering of White. When all the panels were cut and punched, I needed “something” to add interest to the card. Even with a mess-ton (that’s Southern for “a lot”) of stars, there’s still something missing – isn’t the crazy? I decided to run a piece of Whisper White card stock through the punch and then picked a couple of the punched-out stars to fill-in random stars. I think the white stars add a visual appeal here, almost like the stars are twinkling.
- Dimensions. These three panels add a solid background to this card. You like when I give you dimensions, so I’m happy to share today. Each of these three panels measures 5″ long and 1-1/4″ tall. Underneath each, is a 5″ strip of Blushing Bride or Calypso Coral card stock, trimmed just shy of 1-1/4″.
