New Video – Simple Storage on Simple Saturday

I love some great storage ideas – and sometimes the answers are sitting right in front of us.  Today, I’m excited to share a new video with you along with a great suggestion for storing Washi Tape and Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities:

More about Washi Tape Storage.  I picked up some of the awesome die boxes last year when redeeming some of the host dollars I earned on a large order.

While the boxes are intended to be used for Big Shot dies, I like to repurpose things.  I use these stylish, cloth-covered boxes to store notecards (in the Medium Box) and packs of envelopes (in the Large Box).  I have a Small Die Box full of Stampin’ Dimensionals – go figure!  I stumbled across this storage idea while organizing in The Fungeon a couple of weeks ago – I gathered up my current washi tape and tossed them into a Small Die Box – several of them landed on their sides – EUREKA!  They all fit so nicely inside – like a bug in a rug (if you think bugs in rugs are cute – if you are snuggled in a rug, you certainly don’t want a bug in there with you).  Mission accomplished!

Blendabilities.  My storage idea of the Blendabilities stemmed from the fact that I had so many die trays (they come with the boxes) left over from not using the boxes for dies.  My inquisitive mind said, “Brian, do you think you could store Blendies in that tray?  They need to be stored on their side, and you already have the trays…”Tips for Blendabilities Storage, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI keep them in their original cases (trimming off the flaps on the lids) and slide them right into the slots on these trays.  Couldn’t be happier with this solution!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have enjoyed these quick-and-easy tips for storing these great products.

  11. Thanks for sharing these great ideas! I noticed you said the Blendabilities need to be stored on their side, why is that? Also, most of the holders you can buy have them at a slight angle. I thought it was better to keep them flat. Thanks in advance for you response 🙂

    • Marlene – just like the Stampin’ Write Markers, Blendabilities are two-sided (writing/painting tips at both ends). If the are stored at an angle, then the ink will pool to one end. You want the ink to be evenly distributed inside the marker. I hope that makes sense.

  12. Cute and Crafty ….that`s what you are ! Great ideas ….especially the Blendies storage idea ! Love these videos !!!

  27. well, how on earth did you know that I have been pondering how to store my washi tape for a couple of weeks? Brilliant solution!!!
As for the blendies–mine are all thrown in a basket, which, in hindsight, I realized was NOT a smart move. oops!

  31. Hi Brian – thanks for sharing that idea with the Washi tape – any chance we can see a video of all your CRAFT room pretty please????

    • One day, Priscilla. I can only show it to you in small pieces right now because it’s always in disarray. I don’t always have a chance to pick up stuff before the next big project gets started. One day….soon. 🙂

  32. Great tips Brian, thank you

  33. What a brilliant idea for blendies. As Sharon said, mine were out of their containers thrown in a box. (Bad idea! I now realize the light pumpkin pie is MIA.) But I kept their containers, cut the lids off and now they’re all in a row so very neat. Thank you Brian!!!

  34. Thanks Brian, Love these storage ideas.

  35. BRILLIANT! Wish I’d known of this on Thursday! LOL… just bought a little dispenser for my Washi Tape but I love this so much more!
