Sometimes the simplest elements on a card can have the most impact. This week’s FabFriday sketch is super-simple (my favorite kind), which leaves the playing field wide open. I created a fun Christmas card that features a bold strip of Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper, images from two photopolymer stamp sets, and a sentiment from Good Greetings. I’m also sharing a new video today that showcases a new, fun technique that I call Floppy Photopolymer. Here’s my card that combines them all:
And here’s the FabFriday sketch that inspired my creation:
I just love how this looks. This haziness was created with a technique derived by my upline Pam Morris through a combination of brilliant inventiveness and her [intense] desire to stay seated while she was stamping – I explain it all in this Floppy Photopolymer video:
This is also a good time for me to remind you that Good Greetings is only available through October 31 (when you place a $300 order or combine orders with friends to reach $300). It’s a great set, and I don’t want you to miss out. Click below to see these images in my Online Store.I hope you are inspired by this super-fun technique, and I hope you’ll try it out yourself. If you don’t have Calling All Heroes, you can try it out with other images where you want a rough, hazy edge. I also hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday Challenge to check out the projects by the other design team members.
Stamps: Calling All Heroes, Holiday Home, Good Greetings Papers: Old Olive, Basic Gray, Real Red, Whisper White, Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento, Real Red Accessories: Hexagon punch (for banner tips), Stampin’ Dimensionals
