Celebrate Real Nice with a Sneak Peek of Balloon Bash

There are so many wonderful holidays throughout the year that honor important events and people.  These special days are a time to reflect, to share or to celebrate.  Few holidays are as important or meaningful as the one we celebrate today – people all over the world come together to recognize December 16 as Brian King’s birthday.  Did I aptly over-emphasize the importance of this day?

I’m kicking off my special day with a card I made JUST FOR ME (unless it shows up in your mailbox – at which point I made it JUST FOR YOU).  I enjoyed playing around with two products that will be available when the Occasions Catalog launches January 6 – Balloon Bash Photopolymer Stamp Set and Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Here’s my card:

Balloon Bash, Stampin' Up!, Brian King Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Font-tastic.  I love beautiful fonts – and I love witty sentiments.  Balloon Bash has both, so I’m a happy boy.  I would never have imagined sending a card that says “Celebrate Real Nice,” but it seems so appropriate when written so stylishly.  I love it!  Here’s a peak at the rest of the set, styled with the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.  What a great ensemble!Balloon Bash, Stampin' Up!
  • Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Since you are already looking at it, let’s talk about this paper.  It’s absolutely gorgeous, don’t you think?  The combinations of patterns and colors are perfect for almost any celebration and can be paired to create a masculine birthday card, too.  Sure, this piece I used has curvy flourishes on it, but they coordinate so well with the stamp set image.  What makes this paper a “specialty” paper?  Two of the pages include shiny, gold foil images.
  • Color Combination.  I love this combination of colors – I combined them with the suggestion from the Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I think they provide a perfect balance of “masculine” and “celebratory.”  Do you agree?  If you like these colors together, too, feel free to save this:  Color Inspiration, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
