I Do Love You – a Sneak Peek

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Today, I’m having carpet installed in The Fungeon – as well as new carpet in my den and bedroom.  It’s a happy day in Atlanta!  Once I get everything put back, I’ll shortly be able to share photos and possibly a video from downstairs.  Yippee!

But let’s not distract us from the subject at hand.  Here’s a card I made with some new items from the upcoming Occasions Catalog (starting January 6, 2015):

Big on You, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sweet paper.  I’m happy to introduce you to Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper, one of the new papers available in the Occasions Catalog.  While the paper get top billing as the “baby paper” as a part of the Sweet Dreams line of products, I’ve used it for a fun and beautiful, non-baby card.  I love the mix of colors and patterns in this paper and find it very flexible for a multitude of projects.  Here’s a sneak peek at the patterns in this paper:Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Awesome stamp set.  I’m absolutely in love with this Big on You stamp set.  You know I love fonts and sentiments, so you have to guess I’m in love with these four great big sentiments.  I plan to use all of these – a lot.  Here’s a peak at them:Big on You, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Great color combination.  I love a great combination of colors.  While there are other colors in this Designer Series Paper, I think the combination of Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Sahara Sand is perfectly masculine – for a baby boy or a grown man.  If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this off:Color Inspiration, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

  1. Did you get too much glitter in the old carpet in the Fungeon? We need to see before and after pix (please). There’s nothing like seeing a comparison. Your card is simply wonderful Brian.

  2. You rocked this stamp image with the great dsp. Love the versatility of this dsp.

  3. I love it , Brian . Hope you had a wonderful christmas ! Looking forward to your pics from the fungeon . What does “I think you’re pretty swell ” means ? It’s one of the sentiments from the new stampset …

    • Anita, “You’re pretty swell” is a throwback to the ’50s. Swell is a sweet, slang compliment that means “you’re OK” – think of a seven year-old boy saying, “aw, geez. You’re swell” to a seven year-old girl.” I hope that helps.

  4. This card is very refreshing! I’m very happy about Sahara Sand becoming a favorite neutral. Congrats on the new carpeting, how exciting! We’ll NEVER see glitter again, will we…

  10. Way to maximize the paper. Sometimes I think I turn off considering a paper just because of the suite they have it in. You make me see beyond that! Thanks so much.
I have to go back and see the fungeon video. My goal is to make an awesome organized stamp/class room out of MY MESS. I want to use a lot of the stamp n storage products. Anxious to see your new carpet.
