Love is Kindness – a New Video & Sneak Peek

Yesterday I announced my Product Shares and Designer Series Swatch Books.  What a wonderful time – I love sharing these amazing products with you.  If you want to learn more or want to sign up, please CLICK HERE.  I want to wrap up the shares early this week, so please don’t wait.

The Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration are just around the corner – customer orders kick off tomorrow (or late, late tonight – depending on your time zone).  I couldn’t be more excited for you to get your hands on the wonderful products in this catalog.  Today, I’m excited to share a new card with several new products and a new video to go along with it.  Yippee!

Let’s start with the card:

Love is Kindness, BYOP, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sneak Peeks.  I used two new stamp sets (Love is Kindness and B.Y.O.P.) and two new Blendabilities (Pink Pirouette & Wild Wasabi).  These are probably the most beautiful bundle of flowers I’ve seen from Stampin’ Up!, and I really love the new Blendabilties colors – they are light enough to really create beautiful shading.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from B.Y.O.P. – it anchors the flowers, gives them something to “rest on.”
  • Tulips.  These image of these flowers are a sketch – I get it – they aren’t meant to look like a real bundle of tulips.  That said, this stamp set is oriented with the flower bulbs at the top and a sentiment along the left-hand side.  I love the sentiment (and I know you will see that sentiment soon), but I don’t think that orientation of the tulips is realistic – they seem more appropriate on their side – the sentiment I used gives them a perfect shelf.Love is Kindness, BYOP, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Tips and Tricks for Blendabilities.  There are tons of detailed tutorials about using Blendabilities, You can study up all day long so that you are 100% versed before you give them a try, but I say, “Just go for it!”  At the end of the day, you won’t be judged for your blending abilities – whatever you make will be better than not making anything.  🙂  And these lighter colors are a great way to get started.

Stamp Sets:  Love is Kindness  Papers:  Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Very Vanilla  Inks:  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Wild Wasabi, Blendabilities (Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi) Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Brian – thanks for the laugh first thing in the morning and especially thank you for pointing out what was bothering me about the stamp. It definitely should be horizontal.

  5. Oh you made me smile first thing this morning!

  6. Oh Brian – we all do love your videos! LOL Great tips on the blendabilities which I haven’t gotten up the courage to order yet. I almost have my order together for the Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration but haven’t completed it yet. That is one of the things on my “to do” list for tonight. Thanks for another fun video Mr. Professional. You are such a cutie!

  7. HAHAHAHA! Love this video.

  9. you ARE so professional! i wear an apron when i work too, and i think it signifies “i’m a professional” at what i do!

LOVE this stamp and agree with your insights about the bouquet’s orientation. what you did with it is great, and i do like that Happy Birthday. you are such an enabler!

  10. Ok, who told you ? It doesn’t matter, thank you, thank you, thank you, I love my card. You could have mailed it, I don’t mind getting them a little late. I just wonder how you got my sorority colors. I celebrated quietly with family and yes, cake was involved. You are such a sweetheart. Ok, now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, I LOVE this card. The colors are gorgeous and the orientation of the bouquet is perfect. I love clean and simple. Awesome job Brian

  11. I totally agree, this lovely bunch of tulips should be on it’s side, there is no way that they can be standing up. I love the fact that you stamped and cut out that piece of news paper, it gives this image a whole lot of dimension.
You are such a fabulously professional guy.
    Thank you for sharing.

  12. I have been trying to decide whether to order the blendabilitiesand I think you convinced me that even I can color with them. The paper used to wrap the flowers in really accents the them. And last but not least, I like the apron and it does make you look very professiona. Thanks for sharing.

Not only is everything you do just great, you make me remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Although of course, your cards are always perfect, but that’s because you are the professional one. All kidding aside Brian, I love your “stuff”…. Thanks for sharing your creativity and tips with us.
