Hooray for You!

I always love an opportunity to celebrate the successes or happy events in other people’s lives.  What better way to celebrate than with a super-fun, super-simple, super-cheery card?  Here’s my card for this week’s FabFriday Sketch Challenge:

Crazy About You, Garden Party, Moonlight Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FabFri60

And here’s this week’s Fab Friday sketch:

FabFri60 - March 20

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Just Two.  Today’s super-simple card features two of the 2015-2017 In Colors:  Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey.  These In Colors can be beautiful in almost any combination – there’s a blue, a green, a yellow, an orange and a purple.  Do you think that’s by design?  🙂  Just pick any of the two In Colors and get to crafting.    I not only used the two colors with the patterned paper, but I also used the two colors in the flower, stamping it three times and cutting each layer.  I added a Hello Honey button from the In Color Accessory Pack, one of the March options in Sale-a-Bration.
  • Line it Up.  I’ve been trying to make a card with this honeycomb pattern from Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack since the papers were first presented last year.  Because the patterns are the same, but with two colors, I’ve wanted to line them up and show them side-by-side.  This sketch gave me the perfect opportunity.  I glued a strip of the Hello Honey paper over the Blackberry Bliss paper and then cut away at the piece until I had the desired size strip.  Super-easy to achieve with a great impact.
  • Liner it Up.  After I lined up the honeycomb papers, I created an envelope liner with the Hello Honey piece – the least represented on the card front.  It really completes the whole project.  If you missed my video about Envelope Liner Framelits, please click here.Crazy About You, Garden Party, Moonlight Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FabFri60
