I’m excited to share today’s project with you – it’s a Mother’s Day card with three GREAT Stampin’ Up! stamp sets. This clean and simple card is perfect for almost any occasion. I love the way everything came together as I created this card – almost as much as I love the finished product. Here’s my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- All About the Base. The four Basic Gray lines that span the Whisper White card front are from a photopolymer stamp set called Draw the Line. These lines create the focal base of my card – and I love them. Not only do the lines serve to hold the fun flower, but they also house the sentiment (the sentiment is created with a combination of words from Crazy About You). If this stamp set isn’t on your list, think again – there are so many great ways to use these simple lines. 🙂
- Snippy-Doodle-Dee. Because I stamped this flower over the lines from Draw the Line, the lines would show through if I stamped the “two-step petals and stems” that come with the set. As such, I stamped the image on Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz and then snipped the pieces. I’ve talked a lot about paper-piecing with sketchy images – that’s because I love it! If you missed my paper-piecing video, please check it out here.
- Color Combination. Pick a green, pick a pink. You almost can’t go wrong. I love this combination of a rich pink and soft green. I liked it so much that I added a piece of Rose Red Background Designer Series Paper Stack to the flap of my envelope. Easy score! If you like it, too, feel free to save this:

Tomorrow Morning’s Post. Tomorrow morning’s blog post is really special – because it starts today. 🙂 Along with 17 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, I’m participating in a Stamp Out Autism Blog Hop that starts tonight at 9:00PM. It’s not my normal time to post, but you won’t want to miss it. I can’t promise anything, but I will likely be back later in the day on Saturday with a bonus post that might be a Blog Candy Giveaway.
