Stampin’ Up!’s Retiring Stamps – My Favorite Projects

When Stampin’ Up! announced its list of retiring products last week, there was a collective gasp across the universe.  How could all of these things be going away?  While I’m sad to see some of these products discontinued, I’m super-happy for the items that will come along to fill the voids.  Until then, though, there are some items you might want to pick up before they are gone.

If you want to see my recap of projects with Retiring Accessories, click here.  Today I’m happy to share a recap of the stamps I’ve loved over the past couple of years that are currently on sale but will be going away at the end of May.  Click on any of the pictures to see the original posts for each project.

When you spend at least $50 with me, I’ll send you:

  1. Wow ! What an example of your great cards . Plus I have to go back over that Retiring List again just to make sure I haven`t left something off that I might be sorry about later . As Pooh would say “Oh bother”
Thank you for the second look ….just in case .

  2. A parade of stars (so to speak). It’s so nice to see all those beautiful cards at one time. I cannot believe I remember every one of them. Yeah – haven’t completely lost my memory yet! LOL Thanks for the reminder Brian.

  3. Such a great assortment of cards all in one place, Brian! I just love the way you explain the artistic reasons for choosing colors or layout placements. Are you a graphic artist by profession? You seem to know a lot about color and design. Thanks for sharing.

    • Kathy, Thank you! I am an accountant by trade and have no formal training in this stuff – I just know what looks good to me. 🙂 I’m so happy you like what I’ve made. 🙂

  4. I love the sky that you created with “Really Good Greetings. Would you share how you did that? Is it laid on with the different shades of blue with a block or solid stamp? It has the appearance of oil painting.

    • Joyce, Thanks! I’m glad you like the card – it’s one of my favorites. The technique is described in the original post (you can click on the picture to see more). I inked up painter’s tape in different shades of blue and lightly tapped them down on the paper. So easy!

  5. Goodness!! I’m so late but I didn’t want to go to sleep before I told you how wonderful it is to see all of this gorgeous cards all together.
So sad some of this stamp sets are leaving, lets hope their replacements are going to be beautiful too.
