You’ve Got This…Sneak Peek from Stampin’ Up!’s 2015-2016 Annual Catalog

It’s happened!  I’ve already picked a favorite stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.  I know, I know – I need to calm down and take a breath.  Yes, there are plenty of other incredible stamp sets in the upcoming catalog that I couldn’t select for my Demonstrator Pre-order, but I picked out this beauty before I even knew it was on the list.

You’ve Got This is a MUST HAVE stamp set – not only does the stamp set have a beautifully sketched background stamp, but it has a super-cool flower and some amazing sentiments.  It’s versatile and beautifully artistic.

Here’s another take on the same images (the thatched background stamp and showcase flower) and the same colors.  Mint Macaron takes on a much lighter appearance on this 4-1/4″x4-1/4″ card where the white background is prominent:

  12. I love what you did to showcase two different looks with the same colors and stamp set. I saw this set showcased on the stampin up video to introduce the new catty and I have to tell you I was not impressed with this set as shown in that presentation. But now you have made me want to order this one! Thanks, Brian.

  14. Gorgeous cards Brian. I will definitely be getting this stamp set. I appreciate how you demonstrated the effect a different color background has on what is basically the same card. I’m filing that away under Brian’s Tips. Aloha

  15. Hi Brian:

I was never impressed with those kind of grungy looking background stamps – that is until I saw the cards you made for today. That background stamp really does provide a wonderful background for this particular stamp. It’s subtle yet draws your eye to the main floral stamp which is exactly what one would want to have happen. Quite a creative combo. Thanks for sharing. Have a Fabulous Friday! 🙂

  16. Love these cards and the new colors are amazing. thanks for the sneak peeks but it does making the waiting a little tougher lol

  18. Brian, these are both so beautiful!! I also fell in love with that stamp set because of some problems a family member is having and the “You’ve Got This” sentiment… I hope my cards turn out half as pretty!

  21. I love this stamp set too. I can’t wait to get mine. The thatched background stamp caught my eye immediately. Thanks for reminding me that coloring with markers is an option too. Ha ha. Why do I always think of watercoloring?
    Beautiful cards, Brian.

  24. Cathy from Illinois

Love these cards!! Thank goodness the new catalog is for a year!! Loving the new stamp sets and colors!

  25. I do love this set, too. Thanks for the inspiration!

  26. Brian, I LOVE (!!!!) this card. Did you stamp the flower and mask it before stamping the background?

    • Thanks, Amy! I stamped the background (stamped off once or twice) and then stamped the flower. I colored the flower in with my Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker, and it picked up some of the ink from the background, smoothing out that pattern a bit. I’m glad you like this!
