LOVE YOU with a Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek

On Mother’s Day, I shared a project I made for The Pals Paper Arts Challenge.  While I wished you all a wonderful Mother’s Day, several of you commented and emailed to ask why I wasn’t sharing my Mom’s Mother’s Day card.  The reason?  I’m sharing it today.   As I leave for Hawaii, Mom and her friends are coming to stay at my house – a girl’s weekend for all of them.  This card will be waiting for her when she arrives – it’s after Mother’s Day, but I knew she’d see it if I shared it before today.  Anywho…here’s my card:

Friendly Wishes, Painted Petals, Stampin' Up!, sneak peek, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sneak Peeks.  This card shares two sneak peek items from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog – the sentiment is from Friendly Wishes, and the vibrant red ink and paper is Watermelon Wonder.  The stamp set features some great sentiments, but this one seems most fitting for my card to Mom.
  • Last Chance.  I haven’t showcased Painted Petals very much (outside of the sentiments in the stamp set), but the set is going away on June 2, so you’ll want to make sure you pick it up soon.  The flowers in this set are gorgeous, and the sentiments are WONDERFUL!
  • Extended Beauty.  I extended the height of this already-long stem on these flowers by masking the stems above and re-stamping the base.  I didn’t bother using my Stamp-a-ma-Jig – but I got pretty close.  It doesn’t look so pretty at the meeting point, but I knew they would be covered by the banner.Friendly Wishes, Painted Petals, Stampin' Up!, sneak peek, Brian King

Stamp Sets:  Painted Blooms, Friendly Wishes (sneak peek)  Papers:  Wild Wasabi, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White  Inks:  Wild Wasabi, Watermelon Wonder  Accessories:  Stampin’ Dimensionals

While I’m away, the blog will continue.  I have lots of wonderful projects to share with you, so please make sure you come back!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian
