Endless Thanks CAS

If you flip quickly through the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog, you might miss the new photopolymer stamp set called Endless Thanks.  With no big, bold images to grab your attention and no page-filling graphics, it’s easy to pass by this awesome set without even seeing it.  Often times, though, gems are found in big piles of rocks.  I don’t mean to say that the surrounding sets are rocks.  What I mean is that this is a gem in a pile of other gems, but this gem is still as good as the other gems if you take the time to look at it, which you might not do because all the other gems are shiny and sparkly.  Gosh, I’m terrible at explaining this – let me try this again…you’ll like Endless Thanks if you give it a chance.  Here’s my card:

Endless Thanks, Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Endless Thanks.  Like Endless Wishes and Endless Birthday Wishes before it, Endless Thanks is a photopolymer stamp set that’s filled with beautifully scripted words and some really wonderful printed words.  With the clear photopolymers, you can see to perfectly align these words inside the super-cute banner.  Click on the image below to see this set in my online store:

  • A Single Strip.  I love the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack – as with almost all of Stampin’ Up!’s papers, there’s a great mix of themed papers (in this pack, it’s flowers) and multiple-use graphic designs.  While I love this pattern of Calypso Coral flowers, I didn’t want to “overwhelm” the card with lots and lots of this pattern, so I created a small strip of the pattern.  Not only does it help me to not overwhelm, but it allows me to make a whole bunch of this card with that one sheet of paper.  🙂
  • Color Inspiration.  While the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack is backed with Very Vanilla, these little flowers have pops of white inside them, so I paired them with Whisper White.  Calypso Coral is a Subtles color, but it really POPS! when it’s paired with Basic Black – so vibrant and crisp.  If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this:Stampin' Up! 6. Hi Brian:

What a gorgeous card you have created for today. I can’t decide if it’s more on the formal or more on the casual side. To me that means it’s a perfect card for those whose preferences run in either direction. The Calypso Coral really does jump out at you when used in conjunction with the black and white. I just love it! Put your crown on oh mighty King – you are still shining! LOL

  7. Love the color combo. You should have a page on your blog with the color combinations and maybe your sample. Or, how about a challenge using your color combos?
