Welcome to the World for PPA262

I’m thrilled with this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge colors – Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Tip Top Taupe.  If you say “Pool Party Tip Top Taupe” five times in a row really fast, the Universe owes you a big gift.  I’ll wait while you do that.  Here’s my card that uses these three colors:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Designer Series Papers.  This backdrop of pale aquas was created using patterns from two distinctly different Designer Series Papers.  The Mint Macaron speckled paper is from Home for Christmas from the upcoming Holiday Catalog – while it pairs perfectly with the Santa Clause paper I shared here, it also provides a sweet backdrop for this baby card.  The Pool Party cloud patterns are found in Sweet Li’l Things Designer Series Paper – bonus: there’s also a pool party piece with Very Vanilla clouds in the same set of papers.  Yippee!
  • Matching Envelope.  It’s easy to forget how impressive a matching envelope liner can be.  Stampin’ Up!’s Envelope Liners Framelits give us the three sizes of inserts you need to work with the envelopes we sell: medium, notecard and square.  The repetition of these sweet clouds only makes the card more special, don’t you think? Happy Happenings, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, PPA262
  • Tags & Labels Framelits.  I love the layering options available in the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies – there six sizes of this label shape and six sizes of the tag shape.  Although the layers I cropped from the labels are mimicked by the base layers of this card, I wanted a soft and rounded look for the central sentiment.  The large oval punch is a perfect offset to the other straight edges of this card.

HOLIDAY CATALOG PRODUCT SHARES.  I’ve already started to receive emails asking if I will be hosting Product Shares and making Designer Series Paper Swatch Books from the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  Absolutely!  It’s the best way to get a little bit of everything from this wonderful book.  The catalog officially launches September 1, so I’ll be rolling out my Product Shares in the last week of August.  If you have recently purchased shares or books from me, be on the lookout for an email.  Otherwise, the shares will be announced here.  🙂  Thanks!
