New Video: Create a Reindeer Clips Gift Card Enclosure

Have gift cards become more and more “the norm” for the holidays?  I fought the idea that gift cards are actually gifts for most of my life, but I’m starting to understand it a bit.  A generic gift card (Visa, American Express) says, “I want you to have something but have no idea what you like.”  A more specific gift card (Crate and Barrel, The Olive Garden) says, “I know what you types of things you like and want you to pick out the specific item you want.”  That said, I’m always going to buy special gifts for family and close friends – I might not always know what Mom wants, but I’ll TRY – and she’ll LOVE IT.  🙂

Here’s the front of the card I shared with you on Thursday (you can click on the card to see my original post):

Cozy Christmas, Peaceful Wreath, Stampin' Up!, PPA273While I designed the card to fit a personal check, I switched gears a bit and developed a fun way to add a gift card inside.  Here’s what you’ll find inside the card:

  12. Mary and Shawn said it perfectly! I will be using one of my coveted reindeer clips for this idea. My father-in-law loves gift cards for coffee so he can occasionally treat his friends to their coffee when they meet regularly. I plan on using he set with the cup from the Cup of Cheer for the front and this will be perfect on the inside to hold the card! Makes it more fun not that he will notice but my step MIL will love the clip! Thanks Brian for a great idea! I might play with it to see if a red candy dot will work for the nose of the reindeer!

  13. Brilliant idea, Brian! And so precious! This is the only GC holder I have ever been thrilled with. Will be using it for sure! Thanks, Brian!!
