New Video: Tips for Layering Stars on Cards

You know I love to layer my cards with thin, tight borders around them, right?  Between the Circles Framelits Dies and the variety of Circles punches, you can create a large variety of layers around circles – yay!  When I wanted to create a thin layer around my stars, though, I had to get a little creative.  I figured out a quick and simple way to easily build the layers, and I decided to make it into a video for you.  But first, here’s the card I shared with you yesterday:

All Boxed Up, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FabFri78

See the thin border of Watermelon Wonder around the two largest stars?  Here’s how I did that:

Here are the products you’ll need to be awesome at layering stars:

  18. Very clever Brian. You always find a way to use multiple stamps and other products, to create one of a kind looking designs. I’m not very good at that, so seeing it done in video helps a lot. Thanks again.

  19. Thanks for sharing your clever idea with us. Great tip and short video.

  20. Great tip Brian! I have traced the inside or outside of the framelit itself to get a larger or smaller shape to trim, but I like this idea so much more!
