You are Loved for FMS217

I’m excited to share another sneak peek item from Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Occasions Catalog – and this week’s Freshly Made Sketches layout from Linda Callahan (my super-talented, super-funny friend) gave me the perfect inspiration.  This card features a new stamp set, a new Thinlits die and gorgeous paper from a new Designer Series Paper Stack.  Here’s my card:

Grateful Bunch, Rose Garden Thinlits Dies, Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FMS217, Valentine's Day card

And here’s Linda’s sweet-and-simple sketch that inspired my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Grateful Bunch.  You know my heart melts for beautifully scripted sentiments, right?  I don’t mess around with flowers very much, but this stamp set has three sentiments that couldn’t wait to make their way onto the stamp shelf in my Fungeon (that’s my affectionate name for my stamping space).  You are totally awesome.  And I am totally grateful.  You are loved {a lot}.  These are must-have stamps because they are beautifully styled and because they are lovely sentiments.

  • Amazing New Thinlits Die.  Although that sentiment from Grateful Bunch is wonderfully lovely, it’s the die-cut flower that really steals the show on this card, don’t you think?  The Rose Red flower was cropped with the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies and a Precision Base Plate – what an easy way to create such an amazing accent!  There are SO MANY ways to create beautiful cards and 3-D projects with these amazing, new Thinlits.

  • Sweet Color Combination.  This combination of colors was inspired by the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack – this pack of papers is filled to the brim with beautiful patterns in Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Whisper White.  This panel of Crumb Cake and the outlines of Whisper White hearts makes for a beautiful, neutral backdrop – perfect for this intricate rose.  If you like these colors, too, feel free to save this:Stampin' Up!
