All good things must come to an end. Stampin’ Up!’s 2014-2016 In Colors will be going away* with the release of the new catalog in June, so it’s time to start preparing for their departure. After two years with these colors, we’ve grown to love them and instinctively reach for them. Some took longer to warm up to than others, but we still have to let them go.
*If there’s a color refresh, we might see some of these colors stick around, but we have no information to indicate they won’t be going away at the end of May.
In a series of posts over a couple of weeks, I’m sharing a look back at these in colors and sharing some color combinations I like for each. First, here’s a recap of the colors that will be retiring soon:
I already bid a fond farewell to Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow. I’m rounding out the list today with a send-off to Tangelo Twist. If you missed those posts, you can see them here:
Tangelo Twist
From the starter, I knew this dark and dirty orange would be PERFECT for Halloween. I wasn’t prepared for how versatile Tangelo Twist would be. Not only is it a lovely shade, but it’s a friendly color that plays well with others. I’ve enjoyed working with Tangelo Twist over the past two years and will miss it. I even used Tangelo Twist in yesterday’s project for the Global Design Project – if you missed it, check it out here.
You can click on any of these color swatches to see my original posts and projects with these combinations:

NOW’S THE TIME to stock up on everything Tangelo Twist (and the other great colors) – you can earn Sale-a-Bration credits for free product with your purchases AND the items are still orderable. As you may know from prior years, as soon as Stampin’ Up! releases the Retiring List, all of the retiring In Color products will go first. Here’s a quick rundown of some of my favorite Tangelo Twist items you could pick up now:
Don’t forget to check out my sad goodbyes to Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon. You can see them here:

You always make me wonder why I haven’t used a particular colour as much as I should have. Tangelo Twist, Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party would be so fun….should do that!
xx
It’s a great combo, Louise! Thanks for stopping by!
I have really enjoyed this color too, Brian. I just used the last of my Tangelo Twist ribbon on the “carrot” bags for Easter. Thanks for the reminder to stock up!
Carrot bags – what fun! 🙂
Gorgeous color ideas . . . Ta Ta Tangelo Twist!
Sad to see it leave.
I love these colors and am so sorry to see them depart!
I am too. Fingers crossed that gorgeous, new colors are making their way in. 🙂
I had not thought about Tangelo Twist and Watermelon Wonder paired .
Kinda like the challenge of that bold color combo on a card . I like Miss Twist ,but she is sorta like Pumpkin Pie`s sister !
Couldn’t agree more, Sonny! I love the Tangelo/Watermelon combination. So sweet. 🙂
I love the combos you share on your posts, Brian. Are they also on your Pinterest boards? I’d like to pin my faves but I can’t from here. Blackberry Bliss & Lost Lagoon are the two I’ll miss the most. Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow & Hello Honey, are, for my purposes, interchangeable with Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke & Crushed Curry.
Thanks for your comment, Tania! YES! I keep all of my color combinations on a Pinterest board you can find here: https://www.pinterest.com/stampwithbrian/stampin-up-color-inspiration/. I’m glad you like the combos I create and hope they inspire you to create beautiful projects.
