Let’s Celebrate with Confetti Celebration

During a political year, it’s especially difficult to remember that we live in a pretty awesome country.  As divided as we might feel up to (and after) Fall election, we are pretty fortunate to live here.  Since I have a GDP project tomorrow, I’m sharing my “Happy July 4th!” card today.  Crisp and simple, here’s my red, white and blue beauty:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Celebrate [sel-uh-breyt]:  to observe (a day) or commemorate (an event) with ceremonies or festivities.  While “celebrate” stamps are mostly used for birthdays, they are also perfect for sending well-wishes on anniversaries, for offering congratulations and for honoring holidays.  This “let’s celebrate” from Confetti Celebration felt perfect for July 4 – change up the colors for almost any other celebration.

  • Versatile Dies.  This card features two new dies – two cuts from a new set of Framelits and one cut from a new set of Thinlits – can you identify them?  You already know I’m not going to wait for you to guess, right?  I used the new Layered Squares for to crop the sentiment (didn’t have to Stamp-a-ma-jig my sentiment for this one because I cropped it after I stamped it) and for the Real Red scalloped square.  I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut out the Pacific Point border around the sentiment.  I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits for the butterfly/flower/burst that accents the sentiment.  Yippee!  I love the versatility of these dies.  If you want to print out the measurements of the Layered Circles, Squares and Ovals, CLICK HERE.

  • Patriotic Colors.  Real Red is perfect for any patriotic celebration in the United States.  Almost any shade of blue will work with Real Red to convey a patriotic feeling.  Earlier this week, I paired Real Red with Night of Navy and Pool Party (you can see those cards here and here).  Dapper Denim is another great one!  I used Pacific Point here – if you like this combination, feel free to save this:Stampin' Up!
