I’d like to tell you a little story. When I joined Stampin’ Up! as a hobby demonstrator almost five years ago, I had one goal in mind – to earn a discount on all the products I needed to make beautiful cards. There are lots of misunderstandings about what the Starter Kit is, so I want to dispel your concerns. Here are my responses to a couple of misunderstandings about the Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit:
- The Starter Kit is so limited. NOPE! While the kit USED TO identify certain items (stamp sets, markers, ink pads) that were standard for a Starter Kit, they are now designed for you to fill any wish list. You can add any items from any of the current catalogs to the Starter Kit.
- I have to sell to someone else. NOPE! You don’t ever have to make a sales pitch to anyone else. If you are happy crafting by yourself, then I love you all the same. You have zero obligation to sell Stampin’ Up! products to anyone – unless you want to.
- I have to hold classes or workshops. NOPE! It goes hand-in-hand with the first point. You don’t ever have to host a class or workshop – unless you want to.
- I have to meet minimums as soon as I join. NOPE! You immediately begin to receive a 20% discount on all purchases. If you accumulate $300 in sales or purchases during the first quarter, then you continue to receive that discount through the next quarter.

Good luck to you always in your success as an Stampin Up Demnstrator. Even though I didn’t join until 3 yrs ago, as a Demo, I have been using and having parties, with Stampn Up products since 1994. Great stuff May 2017 be a great year for you.
Being part of the Royals has been and continues to be one of my best decisions. The camaraderie keeps me inspired and I know if I have a question someone in our group will have the answer. Most of all I know that Brian always has my back, he encourages and supports me.
Although I am not ‘technically ‘ a Royal, I do get to participate as one being Brian’s upline. He runs such an incredible community where we all feel like family. He offers so many levels of support that there is a place for every kind of demonstrator. I highly recommend taking the plunge!
I love being a part of the Royals! The inspiration from Brian’s daily posts and the on-line community guarantee none of my stamp sets gather dust! I joined SU as a Hobby Demonstrator because I was nosy ! I wanted to be on the “inside” and get my catalog and stamping items early . I really was not sure I would stay ,but Brian has always said that he wanted me to be HAPPY ! I love being able to just enter my Pass Word and have access to ordering ,latest news about product availability and up coming sales and happenings . Plus a 20% discount is mighty nice. I think of being a Royal as being in a “CLUB” that when you pay your dues you get fun stuff to play with !!
