SNEAK PEEK at Reverse Words – One of THREE NEW Sale-a-Bration Options

Over the past several years Stampin’ Up! has added new Sale-a-Bration options part way through the year.  This year is no different!  Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators were able to start ordering these new items last week, and customers can start earning them on February 21.   Woo hoo!  I’m showcasing one of these new items with you today.  🙂 First, here’s a look at the three new products that will be available as Sale-a-Bration selections starting February 21:

Reverse Words, Stampin' Up! Make a Medallion, Stampin' Up! 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack, Stampin' Up!The Glimmer Paper includes 4 sheets (3 each of Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum).  You didn’t think I was going to open up that glittery paper in my house, did you?  🙂

I needed to make a Happy Retirement card for a friend and thought the Reverse Words would be perfect!  Here’s my card:

Reverse Words, Super Duper, Perfectly Wrapped, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Reverse Words.  Watercoloring is super-popular right now – and this new stamp set makes it simple.  It’s really easy to make a quick card with these large, fun sentiments.  They’d look amazing stamped on a card base – if that’s all you want to do – but you can embellish the watercolored words with ribbons, enamel shapes, or sequins to spruce it up a bit.  I adore both of the words and can already think of a hundred ways to use them.  You can select this stamp set with a $50 purchase between February 21 and March 31.  Woo hoo!

  • Just a Little Addition.  As I mentioned above, the “hooray” stamp works wonderfully on its own.  Still I added “a big” and “for you” from Perfectly Wrapped to create a more complete phrase.  With the addition of a trio of stripes along the left edge, I was able to pull in three colors of the card.  With the addition of a couple of starlight accents from Super Duper (I love these fun stars!), the sentiment really shines.  I didn’t layer the focal panel, keeping it simple and bold.
  • Color Combination.  This card was made for a friend’s retirement.  I started with Bermuda Bay, knowing I could pair the bright aqua with just about anything.  I was right (have I ever been wrong?)!  The richness of Tangerine Tango and the depth of Dapper Denim gave me the balance I was looking for to make a fun, but distinguished, card.  If you like this combination, too, please save this:Stampin' Up! 6. Hooray for Brian! I love this card and the colors you selected. I think they are great colors for a masculine card, as well. I may have to buy this stamp set!

  7. Absolutely love the color combination you used to make this fabulous card today! Nice clean lines and that reverse word stamp is fantastic. I have to agree with Marti that this color combination is perfect for a nice bright masculine card. It’s wonderful to have a masculine combination that is not monochromatic or in the darker colors like Night of Navy or Chocolate Chip. An you tell I love it? Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talents with all of us Brian.
