Sending Love for the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – if you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just arrived from Australia where you visited with my amazingly talented friend, Louise Sharp at louisesharp.com. She’s amazing!  The Be Inspired Design Team is a newly formed group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our projects with you.  I’m honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers.

Sending Love Suite, Stampin' Up!Today’s Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop features projects from Stampin’ Up!’s Sending Love Suite of Products.  While the papers and stamps and embellishments and ribbons have a Valentine’s Day appeal, they can be used throughout the  year for almost any occasion.  To see all of these items in my online store, click here. For my blog hop project, I chose to showcase the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, the Sending Love Glassine Sheets and a couple of other great items from Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Occasions Catalog and 2017 Sale-a-Bration brochure. Here’s my card:

  • Papers. I love patterned papers, but I really love working with Designer Series Paper Stacks.  Not only are the 6″ x 6″ pages easy to work with, but you get more patterns to work with – and more patterns of each.  This pack of paper is unique – there are 6 sheets of 8 double-sided designs – and each design features Real Red and Whisper White.  While many pages feature hearts, they can certainly be used throughout the year. Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI also featured the Sending Love Glassine Sheets on my card today. Not only did I frame the top layer of the card with a panel of the sweet glassine sheets, but I added two sweet banners with the translucent paper.

  • Suite Sentiments. I can’t say it enough (and I’ve said it many times) – Suite Sentiments is an amazing stamp set.  It’s my favorite set in the entire catalog – I really like the variety of sentiments, but I love how perfectly they pair with the other suites in the Occasions Catalog (did you notice that each suite is represented?), so they will work with sets I already have!  I love the combination of fonts in this “hoping your day is perfect” sentiment – modern, fresh and fun.

  • Something Sweet.  OK, so I love this sentiment, and I love this bright, cheery paper and these soft, translucent glassine sheets.  While my card felt happy and cherry, it needed something else to pull everything together.  The addition of a teeny-tiny cupcake from the Tasty Trucks stamp set (a Sale-a-Bration offering) gave me just what I needed!  I stamped it with Archival Basic Black and used a Blender Pen to colored the cupcake with Real Red and Crumb Cake ink.  Sometime, the little touches can be REALLY little.  🙂Suite Sentiments, Tasty Trucks, Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
