Great Color Combinations with the New 2017-2019 In Colors

Yesterday I shared three of Stampin’ Up!’s new 2017-2019 In Colors – Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.  I love these new colors and can’t wait to start creating with them.  I also showed how these colors look with colors in our current families of Stampin’ Up! colors.  If you missed that post, you can see it here.

Today I’m sharing some great color combinations to show how wonderfully these new colors pair with some of our existing colors.  I’ve created two color combinations for each of the three new colors that showcase the versatility of the colors.  It was fun to play around with the color combinations to show just how fun these colors can be.  I hope you like them.

FRESH FIG

Fresh Fig, Stampin' Up! 2017-2019 In Color, www.stampwithbrian.comPurple is a mix of blue and red.  The balance between the two determines the depth or brightness of the resulting shade.  Fresh Fig has a bright appeal but is mostly soft and sweet.  I paired it with Pear Pizzazz (a Subtle) and Daffodil Delight (a Bright) for a perfectly beautiful combination of green, yellow and purple:

Color Inspiration: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Fresh FigThere’s a bit of a maturity with Fresh Fig, too, so I thought it would pair beautifully with Night of Navy (a Regal) and Crumb Cake (a Neutral).  These two almost make Fresh Fig look like a totally different color than the combination above.  Don’t you think?

LEMON LIME TWIST

Lemon Lime Twist, Stampin' Up! 2017-2019 In Color, www.stampwithbrian.comThere’s definitely no other color like Lemon Lime Twist.  What a vibrant and playful mix of yellow and green!  I paired this vibrant color with Pool Party (a Subtle) and Peekaboo Peach (a Subtle In Color) to soften the intensity of the lemon lime tones.  Together they are a beautiful combination:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Peekaboo PeachSince those soften Lemon Lime Twist, I thought it would be fun to showcase it’s brighter side by placing it beside some darker tones.  Next to Smoky Slate and Basic Black (both Neutrals), Lemon Lime Twist really shines:

TRANQUIL TIDE

Tranquil Tide, Stampin' Up! 2017-2019 In Color, www.stampwithbrian.comHow can you not immediately fall in love with Tranquil Tide?  What a beautiful combination of green and blue – with a heavy leaning toward green!  Like the other colors, I’ve paired Tranquil Tide with other current colors that showcase how different it can look with different colors.  Real Red (a Bright) and Basic Gray (a Neutral) showcase the maturity in this color:

Color Inspiration: Tranquil Tide, Flirty Flamingo, So SaffronI hope these pairing have showcased the versatility of these colors and shown how well they will fit in with our current colors.  I’m excited about these new In Colors and can’t wait to see the other two.  What a fun time of year!  What do you think about these combinations?  Do you have a favorite?  I’d love to hear.

Thanks for stopping by today!
