There are so many amazing, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog – Spring is alive and well in the Delightful Daisy Suite! Such beautiful papers, a great stamp set, must-have punch and some versatile embellishments. What fun! Here’s my card:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Build-a-Sketch. You can’t go wrong with a simple, classic layout for any card. Detailed and complicated layouts might be a fun challenge if you have plenty of time to play (and there’s NOTHING wrong with that!), but I think of the “starter layout” as a band with a circle – always a great start for any card. In the case of this card, I created a thick Wisteria Wonder band with two additional strips (Calypso Coral, Whisper White) and added my sentiment on an oval. I’ll include this layout (along with others) in my newsletter next week. If you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, please click here (I don’t want you to miss out!)
- All About Daisies. The Delightful Daisy Suite of products, debuting on page 126 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog, is all about Spring happiness. The products are fresh and fun! The stamp set, the paper, the ribbon, the embellishments – all of it is bright and cheery and fun. My favorite product in this suite (I’m not afraid to pick a favorite!) is the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Oh, my! Just look at the sweet colors and beautiful designs:The Daisy Delight stamp set is paired with a Daisy punch – and you’re going to want both. The punch has proven to be so popular during our Demonstrator Pre-order (it’s one of the items we could buy in advance) that it’s already on backorder – if you can order it on June 1, go ahead! You’ll want to make sure you’re one of the first when it’s back in stock – you’re going to love it! I love sharing helpful tips with you – you’re welcome! 🙂 Here’s a look at the fun stamp set – the sentiments are featured on my project above:
- Going Against the Grain. When I share patterns from Designer Series Papers, I usually pull all of my colors from the paper. Not the case here. The little, watercolored flowers in the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper are actually a diluted shade of Night of Navy – the colors often take different intensities on the papers. The Night of Navy flower comes so close to Wisteria Wonder that I couldn’t NOT include this light purple in my project. If you like this combination, too, please save this:
