Ready to Pop – Adorable Baby Shower Favors

When my friend Angie decided to host a baby shower for a friend, she contacted me to help her make some of the party favors.  With a blue-and-neutrals color scheme for the party, it was easy for me to choose some colors for the project.  Angie and Robin really liked the “ready to pop” tie-in to both a bag of popcorn and a baby shower, so we went with that.  Easy!  Here’s the project we came up with:

Wood Crate Framelits, Ready to Pop, Baby Shower Favors, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingHow sweet is that?!  Since we were making 30, we were also happy that it was simple.  🙂

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sneak Peek – Wood Crate Framelits.  I don’t make a lot of 3-D projects, but I’m always happy with myself when I do.  🙂  Angie, Robin and I had a lot of fun with the Wood Crate Framelits Dies – so easy to cut, crease and assemble. Although we didn’t use the stamp set that coordinates with the dies, I want you to see what it all looks like together:

Here’s a fun video Stampin’ Up! pulled together for us to showcase this wonderful bundle:

  • Tag – You’re It!  I think we can all agree that the crate is adorable.  We can all agree that the bitty bow and 3″ x 6″ gusseted cellophane bag are pretty great, too, right?  In all the excitement over these fun components of the treat, did you overlook the adorable tag?  The sentiment is from Ready to Pop (which, by the way, the stamp set and coordinating Popcorn Box Thinlits both carry over into the new catalog – but the bundled savings for buying both together goes away on May 31).  The background of the tag is stamped with the new Label Me Pretty stamp set and punched with the awesome, new Pretty Label punch.  Here’s a look at this bundle (June 1 can’t get here fast enough!):

  • Baby Shower Color Scheme.  While you might not think of neutrals at a baby shower, they sure are trendy – and adorable.  These colors worked perfectly with the popcorn crate concept, so we pulled the colors into the tag and accented with the Tranquil Tide bitty bow.  What fun!  If you like this combination of colors, too, please save this:Stampin' Up!
