A Little Crazy for A Little Wild

Some things are just so sweet that you HAVE to have it.  The moment I saw the A Little Wild Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog, I knew I had to have it!  Three adorable animals (front and back) are designed to work with the coordinating Little Loves Framelits to make an adorable tag.  SO CUTE!  I used one half of the tag to make this sweet 4″ x 4″ card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • A Little Wild Bundle.  I think these little tags are so inventive!  What a fun new product – a super-cute tag for any gift.  I love how the images show the front and back of each of the three animals – you can showcase EITHER side on the front of a card and pair it with a fun sentiment.  The options are endless.  That’s why the A Little Wild Bundle was named one of my favorite bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s new catalog (you can see my other choices HERE and HERE).  Here’s a look a this new bundle:

I cropped the lion with the two-lion dies but snipped a wee bit of the top of his head to make him one.  And here’s a fun video from Stampin’ Up! that showcases this new product:

  • Coloring.  While I was working in the Fungeon this weekend, I knocked over the shelf that holds my Blendabilities – Stampin’ Up!’s alcohol markers that were discontinued in March 2015.  Rather than just put them back on the shelf, I thought I’d see if they were still good-to-go.  Oh, joy!  They were still inky!  I stamped this sweet lion in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored the lion’s body with a Crumb Cake Blendability Pen.  I colored his mane with Pumpkin Pie Blendability and then added a darker version of Pumpking Pie to give it a little depth.  I lighted the lion a bit with the Color Lifter (because I swiped the ink, rather than swirling it, I was left with some streaks on the lion’s face).  Fine by me – he’s still adorable.
  • Color Combo.  This color combination came naturally – right out of the colors in the lion.  I added a bit of texture to the Crumb Cake background by inking by Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp with Crumb Cake and stamping on the Crumb Cake cardstock.  If you like this combination of colors, too, please save this:Stampin' Up!
