My Favorite Designer Series Paper for Be Inspired Blog Hop

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun!  The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you.  I’m honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers.

The theme for today’s Be Inspired Hop is “My Favorite Designer Series Paper.” What fun!  I am in love with so many of the new papers, but I decided to go with Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper – it’s fun and sweet but can also be dressed up.  I went with “fun and sweet” for today’s project.  If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from a visit with my Aussie friend (and super-talent) Louise Sharp at louisesharp.com.  She never disappoints!

Here’s my fun card for this hop:

Colorful Seasons, Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Favorite Designer Series Paper.  By now, it must seem like you are listening to broken record (there will soon come a day where the word “record” will make no sense to people) when I say how much I love Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.  The variety of colors and patterns in Pick a Pattern are so fun – I’ve been showcasing it consistently since we were able to pre-order the paper back in April.  It’s definitely been my go-to paper.  I showcased the fun cameras and bold stripes on today’s project.  How fun are they!?  Here’s a look at all of the pages in this pack:Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!
  • On the Flap.   Not only did I feature two patterns from Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper on this card, but I included a third pattern on the flap of my envelope.  To tie the flap to the inside of the card, I used Stampin’ Write Markers to colors select circle in the pattern.  What fun!  See how perfectly they coordinate?Colorful Seasons, Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Did You See it?  While you were busy “oohing” and “aahing” at this whimsical card, did you notice how many times I played with the camera theme?  Not only are cameras featured in this square pattern, but I used the “smile” sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set to complement the cameras.  Oh, but it didn’t end there!  I also shaped my focal piece like a Polaroid picture (another word that will soon make no sense to people).  It’s not “in your face” but it’s there.

Stamp Sets:  Colorful Seasons  Papers:  Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Whisper White, Crushed Curry  Inks:  Archival Basic Black, Stampin’ Write Markers (Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand)  Accessories:  Stampin’ Dimensionals

I’m so glad you stopped by and hope you like my project. I also hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects that I’m sure you’ll love. The next stop is my over-the-top-amazing Canadian friend, Allison Okamitsu at Nice People Stamp. Click on the banner below to continue through the hop:
