Time to Celebrate with Birthday Memories

This week’s Paper Players sketch is super-simple, which gave me permission to make a five minute card.  It didn’t have to be hard, but I allowed myself to play with paper to create a super-fun card.  It might have complicated things a bit, but I still love the simple outcome of this card.  Here’s my card:

  • Creating Fun Stripes.  At first glance, you might not see why this card took me so long.  Here’s why – I cut up a gorgeous piece of Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (I love these colorful stripes!) to create a different pattern.  I simply cut the paper vertically (against the stripes) and then lined them up on another piece of cardstock, staggering them just a little to create a very different pattern.  Here’s a look:Celebration Time, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Birthday Memories.  Do you love this piece of paper?  The Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper is filled with great patterns and wonderful colors – and several of the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies coordinate with images in the paper.  Love that!  Here’s a look at the Birthday Memories Paper:Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!
  • Time to Celebrate.  The bold sentiment from Celebration Time on this thick, white panel is a perfect offset to the intricate background.  I love this fun sentiment – while the Celebration Time bundle is both wedding- and birthday-themed, it can be used for almost any occasion.  Here’s a look at the Celebration Time bundle:
