Bike Ride by Margo Bullwinkle

I love my InKing Royalty team!  While you already know many of them from their awesome blogs and super-creative projects, most of my team members are “hobbyist” demonstrators (they enjoy the benefits and discounts with no obligation to sell to others).  They also love the exclusive online community we’ve created on Facebook – we share projects and ideas and inspiration every day.  It’s so awesome to bring people together from across the United States through this wonderful craft!

One of my team members, Margo Bullwinkle, shared a project a couple of weeks ago that knocked me off my chair.  I love everything about this sweet set of notecards that Margo made for her friend as a birthday gift.  What a lovely gift!  Here are some pictures Margo shared with our group (and gave me permission to share with you):

Bike Ride, Stampin' Up!, by Margo BullwinkleHow adorable is this card?!  And wouldn’t you LOVE to receive this bundle of cards as a gift?  There are so many things to love about Margo’s cards.  I want to share with you a couple of things I really love about them:

  • Finding Inspiration.  Margo found a card on Pinterest that she really liked and that serves as the inspiration for her sweet card.  I was excited to learn that the original project was created by my friend Heather Cooper at Playing with Papercrafting (you can see her project here).  Margo mimicked the borders, embossing paste wall and sweet colors for the bike.  She changed up some of the additions to the bike and added the sweet “just a note” sentiment.  There aren’t a lot of changes from Heather’s original card, but Margo made some changes to make it her own.  Here’s a look at this wonderful, new bundle:

  • Adorable Embellishments.  The tag on Margo’s gift and the other packaging details are worthy of a look-see.  Not only did Margo pop some tissue paper from a Paper Pumkin kit inside her cello bag, but she made an adorable tag with Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and some flowers from the (retired) Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  Even though the elements on her tag aren’t from the Bike Ride bundle, they certainly accent it well.Bike Ride, Stampin' Up!, by Margo Bullwinkle, inspired by Heather Cooper
  • Sweet Colors.  Margo loved the colors in Heather’s project that she replicated them on her own.  It’s easy to see why she didn’t make changes – these colors are crisp and cheery together!  I’m in love with the combination.  If you like them, too, please save this:Stampin' Up!
