There are two important parts to today’s post. First I’m sharing some color combinations with a Fall-favorite, Cajun Craze. Then I’m sharing the items in my 2017 Christmas Ribbon Share – please don’t miss both!
Crazy About Cajun Craze
Cajun Craze is a shade of clay-red in Stampin’ Up!’s Regals color family. While it mostly pops up in Fall-themed papers, it’s been knows to appear in other combinations, too (like the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Occasions Catalog).
This year, Cajun Craze shows up in TWO Designer Series Papers in Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog. I love it side-by-side with black and orange in Spooky Night Designer Series Paper and with other Fall-leaning colors in Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at both of these papers:
There are so many great combinations in these papers that have made me excited to work with Cajun Craze. Here are some great combinations from these papers:
And here are some other color combinations that include Cajun Craze (it’s a lot more versatile than we might think):
I don’t reach for Cajun Craze a lot, but when I do I am usually pleasantly surprised with how well it works with other colors. I hope these suggestions inspire you to use a little Craze, too!
Christmas 2017 Ribbon Share
As we start making Christmas cards, it’s nice to have a selection of ribbons to play with – that’s why I’m hosting a Christmas 2017 Ribbon Share. I’m sharing ribbons from Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog and Holiday Catalog that are perfect colors and textures for the Christmas cards you want to make this year.
Here’s how the process works:
- Sign up for a spot in the ribbon share (registration form below).
- I will bill you through PayPal when all seats in your share are filled.
- I’ll place an order for the closed out (& paid) shares.
- Once I receive the product, I’ll quickly divide it, wrap it and ship it straight to you.
- I will smile, and you will smile. We’ll be very happy.
Here’s a look at the ribbons I’m including in this share:

Thanks for all the Cajun Craze Color Combos Brian! Just used it yesterday with Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and Copper. A great color to think about on the first day of fall!
Ooooh! I love that! I don’t instinctively reach for Cajun Craze, but I’m usually happy when I do. Thanks so much!
I struggle to use Cajun Craze but you opened the door for so many possibilities. I’m nutty buttons about Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Espresso!
Yay! I’m so glad to hear it, Mary! I need to remember to reach for it more – because I generally like it when I do. It looks great with blues, and blues look great with browns, so… <3
I save your color combos. They always come in handy when trying to pull the right colors together. Thanks, Brian.
That makes me so happy, HJ! I’m glad they are helpful. Thanks for the comment!
I have been playing with Cajun Craze but I am liking some of your color combinations a lot! I will be testing them out soon. I have the refill probably sitting at my local demo’s house along with the holiday catalog….don’t get me started. I go there for inspiration and friendship with the other people! Thanks for the new colors to play with. I just love fall and their colors! Have a great weekend!
Thanks so much for the comments, Chris! I hope you have fun playing with these combinations! <3
Hey Brian, I love when you do these color combinations. I recently did a slightly different one; Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay, and Soft Suede. I love Cajun Craze and it is so versatile, almost like a neutral. Happy Stamping.
I’m so glad you like these combinations, Sher. They’re always fun for me to pull together. I eyed Bermuda Bay with Cajun craze when I was coming up with these – liked it very much! Your combo sounds awesome. <3
Fun combos, often I wouldnt dream of combining certain colors. Brian, thanks for these, very handy!
That makes me so happy, Katrina! I’m so glad you find these combinations handy. <3
